Chest day sucked!
Went to the rec today. All went as expected; you ever have one of those days where it just starts off bad. Well, for me, today was one of those days. I couldn’t seem to make to an appointment I had on time. Then, I went to the gym; it was for the most part empty; my energy was decent; the workout in my opinion was shit! From the start I didn’t have; I decided to push through. My first exercise was flat bench things went ok here. Did two sets wih 40 lbs., 6 reps. Next, I moved onto the dip machine only managed one set. By then, I wanted to throw in the towel; knew I had to finish my workout b/c I am trying to get BIGGER esp. in the chest and legs. Back to the workout, next I decided to hit the incline bench which I did for 2-3 sets of 6 reps with 35 lbs. Lastly, I finished up with twp quick sets on the pec deck by using 90 lbs. Anyone ever feel like this, if so, how did you overcome your lack of energy or w/e it may have been, what advice would you give to combat this issue for further workouts? Thanks!

You just can’t let these days get you down you just have to work through them. Anytime I start to have a few things go wrong I just take a deep breath and let them go. You can’t keep that stuff hanging around or you will have just a bad day all day.
Keep going and you will make progress.

Sometimes I feel like this when I’m either doing too much cardio or not eating enough, or a combination of the two usually. If I can tell it’s going to be a bad workout I usually don’t go through with it. I go home and fix my energy deficiency by eating and making sure to eat a lot of food for the rest of the day. I go back the next day with more energy and try again. I don’t like to waste a workout if I don’t have energy because my program emphasizes hitting most of the body parts only once a week, so I’d rather wait a day and do it right than screw it up and have to wait a whole week before I can try again. I tend to get addicted to cardio and sometimes limit myself with carbs but lately I’ve only been running once a week and eating a LOT of food, I even eat some heavy amounts of carbs at night before I go to bed. I’ve been having great results and more energy.
