Carb trouble!

As of late, I have been noticing that late at night, I have a tendency to get rlly hungry. Could this be b/c I am not getting enough carbs? Can anyone suggest a link or two, as to which carbs I need to get the most of or consume? Thanks!

    So you are on low carbs? Have you upped your fat intake?
    Carbs are not the enemy, to many of the wrong types of carbs can be a problem though. You want to have your nutrient intake at about 40% carbs , 30% protein and 30% healthy fats. You want to eat lean meats, egg whites, get most of your carbs from fruits, berries and vegetables and some grains (oatmeal), eat nuts, seeds, olives , avacados, olive oil , and fish oils for your fats. Do some research on The Zone Diet and it will help you formulate a great diet. Good Luck

    yup, just snack on a protein shake or some egg whites or some lean turkey or chicken. get through to the morning. plus if you eat protein and fats (good fats) you can use them during the night while you fast.

    Inkeeps advice is pretty good, thats the "correct answer". However, I dont eat Fruit so much when I am trying to cut, dont want the sugar (not saying fruit is bad by any means). For those late night carb cravings I would eat some nuts, almonds being one of the best. They are high in fiber which research indicates helps with weight loss. The forums on here also are a great source of info. Good luck!

    I get my carbs through yogurt, bread(various forms/types), and vegetables(corn, beans,etc.). Also, try to eat healthy when I go out to eat.
