Cheeseburgers, and other distractions….

Just wrapped up the first week of the new diet. 

Let’s review…

Day one - I’m starving!  I feel like crap.  Do people really live on this diet?  These carrots and celery are NOT filling me up at snack time.  I want a snickers…that will satisfy me! (Wow - where did that come from?  I do not eat chocolate…weird!)   Went to the gym, but had heartburn really bad, so did not lift heavy. 

Day Two - I’m Starving!  I still feel like crap - I wonder if I could convince Dunkin Donuts we have a donut emergency and they need to deliver 2 dozen sour cream cake donuts to work by noon, or people will strike?  Belly dance - phase two starts tonight… Very excited!  Why am I getting heartburn?

Day Three - I’m STARVING!  And what a mean person my co-worker is to have made fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and brougt them in for lunch!  No thank you!  I will be satisfied with my chicken salad and yogurt…(Must Resist Temptation!…YES!  I did! )  EYAH!  Gym workout was difficult .  Phase two of Belly class is very much more physical than phase one.  Abs and thighs are really feeeling it.  And what is with this damn heartburn???  Just keep pushing - it will go away.

Day  Four - Out of chicken salad for lunch, running late and no time to make more (subconcious working here maybe?????)   Hey…wanna grab a double cheeseburger for lunch today?  SAWEET!  (Oh glorious cheesburger, how I lust you!)  Great night at the gym…pedaled an extra mile for the cheeseburger…legs feel better - so I kicked up the weight.  Heartburn again  - this time with the ab crunches.  Why??

Day Five - Hey, what do you know? I lost 4 pounds!  Huh…I do feel better today.  Check out the measurments ..they are looking good too!  Even though my arms are going up - it’s in a good way!  My secondary wave is almost gone!  WOO HOO!

I don’t know if I was trying to get the flu, or if it is just mental anguish / body adjustment from changing my eating habits.  But I am encouraged enough to keep on track.  Let’s hope the weekend does not prove to be my downfall.
