I may have been too busy to blog these last couple of days, but I still managed to get my workouts in when I wasn’t giggling uncontrollably while listening to Afroman’s "Because I Got High".
(Funny stuff, even if I can’t relate.)
Monday’s chest and Tuesday’s back were all types of good fun.

I couldn’t sleep so I dragged my carcass out of bed and just went straight to this workout, shake in hand.

Somewhere in between the never ending yawns and the futile quest to make Saturday my beyotch, I managed to hit 300 lbs on the squat. Of course it was the just-below-parallel squat and not the ATG squat I’ve come to know and loathe, but hey, it’s a start.
Squats (Just Below Parallel)
135 (5)
185 (5)
215 (5)
245 (5)
275 (3)
300 (2,2)
250 (5,5)
ATG Squats
205 (5,5)
Lunges
100 (12)
Cardio was just a slacker-worthy, 10 minute jaunt on the Elliptical of Shame.

I’ve come to the conclusion that slugging myself in the head with large objects does me no good. Therefore, the next time I’m closing the back hatch of my SUV with enough force to draw blood, induce star sightings (I see George Clooney!), and elicit a "Holy PHUCHNUTS!! That hurts!!" in front of four giggling kids, I’m going to make every effort to keep my head out of the way!!
In other news, I got sidetracked the last couple of days, so no workouts there. Today was looking rather booked as well, when I had the bright idea to spend my sleepless hours putting in a workout, as opposed to watching an early morning showing of The Lost Boys.
What was I thinking?!?
Anyhoo, it was just a quick upper body workout filled with light weights, supersets and short rest periods.
Nothing to blog about even though I just did. Kinda.

Progress report time.
Not a whole lot of change since last month’s measurements. I’ve been slacking on the whole eating thing and really need to step it up.
Weight: 198.2 (+.4)
Chest: 44 (No Change)
Waist: 31.5 (No Change)
Legs: 25 (+.25)
Arms: 16.5 (No Change)
Forearms: 13.25 (No Change)
Today’s cardio was a heaping dose (50 min.) on the elliptical, with two parts Queen and one part ELO thrown in for good measure.

Today was going to be a plain old cardio day, but it occurred to me that putting crazy glue on a child’s nose-picking finger probably isn’t the bestest of ideas.
(Oh wait.)
(Wrong occurrence.)
It also occured to me that I’ve been neglecting my deadlifts and hamstrings for a while now.
(There now.)
(Back on track!!)
Not a bad day, but definitely not my best. My mind and body conspired and rebelled against whatever was left of me and refused to go to failure on the deadlifts. Stiff leg deadlifts were kinda nice though.
On with the show!
Deadlifts (Nice and Slow)
Bar (10)
135 (10)
225 (6)
295 (6)
365 (4,4,3,4,4)

Stiff Leg Deadlifts (Quick and, er, Speedy!)
225 (10)
245 (10)
265 (8)
Cardio was 16 minutes on the elliptical.

-No workouts the last couple of days. Not sure why. Maybe it was all the busy-business getting in the way. Perhaps I listened to Warrant’s mind-numbing "Cherry Pie" one time too many. Maybe I was just being a lazy boob.
No worries though, Superfriends.
Back at it tomorrow
-Voltron at 2 o’clock in the morning sure does make me feel better about my poor sleeping habits.
-"I’ve developed a new philosophy… I only dread one day at a time."

-Back tomorrow.

Oy vey, I am tired!!
And sore. Mustn’t forget to mention the sorness.
Workout #1 was a quick chest workout. Progress continues to move in the right direction, so all is good there.
Barbell Bench Press
Bar (15)
115 (5)
185 (3)
215 (9)
230 (5,4,5,4)
205 (7,6)
Workout #2 was a hellacious, leg burning quest to relocate 3 tons of pellets from my driveway to my basement (a.k.a. My Rapidly-Shrinking-Gym!).
(By the way, that really isn’t as much fun as it sounds.)
(Though it is as painful as it sounds.)
(Ow.)
