-Okay day for a quick workout today. There were a couple of brief moments of something that might be mistaken for strength. Maybe.
On the bummer note, I gave up my shrugs in favor of some HIIT.
Bummer.

-Busy day today, but I still had time for a quick back workout. I even managed some personal bests on barbell rows and rack pulls.
Barbell Rows
135 (10)
185 (5)
225 (4)
250 (1)
275 (1)
300 (4,3)
275 (4,4)
Dumbbell Rows
80 (14,12)
Rack Pulls
350 (3)
375 (3)

No time (yet again) for cardio. Bummer.

-Chest and something-something tomorrow.

-Ah squats today. I actually didn’t mind. I only had time for a quick workout before I had to hit the shower. Plus, low rep squat days are actually kind of fun.
ATG Squats
Bar (15)
135 (5)
185 (3)
210 (1)
225 (1)
250 (1,1,1,1)
225 (2,2)
205 (5)
185 (8)
Those first two sets of 250 were a bit scary, especially when gravity tried kicking in and bringing me (and the weight) crashing down to the floor. After that I got the hang of it. It was still tough getting it up, but I had better control going down. (I’m not sure that sounds right or appropriate but I’m too tired to go back for a re-write!)
Cardio was 8 minutes of HIIT. Just enough time for a couple of Smashing Pumpkins tunes that have been stuck in my head for a while.
-I would have an easier time of scarfing this container of Cookie Dough ice cream if I didn’t have to keep spitting out all these gosh darn, conflabbing, disgusting chocolate chips. Thank BOB for kitties (a.k.a. Target Practice).

-Back (rows) tomorrow.

-Nice day for some cardio. 45 minutes of pretty gosh-darn intense, buckets-of-sweat elliptical. Music was all over the place today- Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie, Bloodhound Gang, Robert Palmer, and DMX for the just because.
-I’m glad the cats like to be healthy and drink green tea. I just wish they’d get their own and stop lapping at mine.

-Squats tomorrow.

-It was some kind of wonderful day today here in Massachusetts. Not the Eric Stolz kind but the lazy, grilling, Sunday funnies kind.
-Today’s workout felt so darn good, I might as well blog the numbers, which weren’t that good until along came the shrugs. Oh how I love my new Versa Gripps.
*SUPERSET 1* **SUPERSET 1**

*END SUPERSET 1* **END SUPERSET 1**
*SUPERSET 2* **SUPERSET 2**

*END SUPERSET 2* **END SUPERSET 2**

No cardio. This was a bummer since I was hankering for some DMX.

-Today was a good day despite the lack of sleep (Darn cats are darn lucky my wife loves them more than me!). I had a quick shoulder workout (Arnold Presses, Shoulder Presses, Push-ups) followed by some HIIT. Music was Ozzy (No More Tears), Metallica (Of Wolf and Man) and, for the hell of it, Motion City Soundtrack (LGFUAD).
-Who knew a three-year old could throw play-doh that darn hard!
-My darn peanut butter cracker craving was foiled by a serious lack of saltine crackers today.
-I hate change. Darn it.

-Any day you wake up with Tom Jones’, under appreciated, all too flawless "Sexbomb" stuck in your head, you know you’re in for a good day!
-Just some deadlifts and bench pressing for a workout today. Strength was low. On the plus side, I’m starting to feel that urge to get back to my old workout/good eats way of life. Of course that could just be the Sexbomb talking. If I still have the urge when Mr. Big is playing in my head, then I’ll know I’m ready.

*sigh*
Now that I’ve proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am unable to pull a new, unbroken Power Rangers action figure out of my arse at whim (or whine), perhaps now I can move on to walking on Kool-Aid! Of course, there is a good chance that I’ll fail at that as well (since I don’t keep that crap in the house). Luckily I can still do pull-ups and pulldowns, which is what I did today for a workout.
I’d list the numbers but they’re nothing to write home about, or blog, for that matter. However, I did manage one SCOOBY-DOOBY-DOO! pauses at the top of the close grip pullups.
Apparently that is worth blogging about.

-Just another quick workout today focusing on dragging my sorry butt out of bed and keeping it out. I also managed some iso lateral exercises for my chest and shoulders afterwards.
-Some days I’m not sure if I’m a parent of four kids or five. Today felt like five.

Well, as soon as my ten year old stops threatening to put cat poop in my bed if I don’t give him the day off, my day is going to brighten up considerably.
Cardio today was 45 blistering minutes on the Elliptical of Perpetual Joy while passing up my urge for slow jazz and listening to everything from the Rolling Stones to Cold War Kids.
