My final thoughts…

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

-Great day today.  Made some updates to the gym, got rid of my sundae craving, and even managed to move a couple hundred pounds of plates from vehicle to basement without taking out a child in the process.

-When I’m elected President, I will make it my mission to ship every person with an aversion to washing their hands after using a public restroom, as well as every caring parent who smokes next to their kids off to some far away island that’s suitable for nuclear testing.

Maybe I’ll even end poverty and world hunger afterwards.  As long as it’s not my bedtime.

-Day off tomorrow.

Day Off

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

I couldn’t stay completely away from working out today, no matter how hard I tried.  I ended up doing a few bodyweight exercises, lots of stretching, and about 15 minutes on the elliptical to wake myself up.

Always eager to spend money, I picked up some more weights while out and about, as well as a plate tree, which only drew a small bit of blood while being put together. (How cool is that ?)

My final thoughts…

Monday, July 30th, 2007

-Today’s workout got the job done.  My back is nice and sore.

-I’m taking the next two days off since I have some family outings scheduled earlier than usual.  Plus it seems I could use the rest.

-Outsourced customer service kinda bites.

-If one more child, animal or I-don’t-care-what pees where they’re not supposed to, there’s going to be some serious problems!!

Especially if I step and/or sit in it!!  Again.

I’m not kidding!!

-Day off tomorrow.

My final thoughts…

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

-Chest is sore- more sore than my tummy.  Today was a good day.

-After checking my logs, my flat bench press isn’t too far in a rut, so I won’t worry about it right now.  I’ll just focus on the other fun aspects- reps, stretch, form, blah-blah-blah.  300 pounds will still be there in the winter.

-Cheesecake.  With cherries on top!!

-Yeah, Yeah.  Michael Vick is wishing he stuck with hamster racing.  Lindsay Lohan prefers Coke over Pepsi.  I just don’t get why I have to hear about it every day.

Let’s get back to the drunk astronaut story!

-Man who walk thru airport turnstile sideways going to Bangkok.

?

-Back and hamstrings tomorrow.

Chest and Calves

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

I suppose it was a good workout.  Chest felt great, and heck, so did calves!  My form is better than it has been in ages.  Every rep felt isolated and in control.  I just wasn’t happy with the numbers. My incline is moving up but my flat is stalling.

BAH-FRIGGIN-HUMBUG!

Oh well.  I shall drown my sorrows in a couple of bottles of Green Tea Soda and a couple (few? plethora?) of mini peanut butter cups.

Barbell Bench Press

Bar (12)

115 (5)

185 (1)

215 (9,7,7,8,6)

Decline Bench Press (Close Grip)

215 (6,6,5)

Barbell Bench Press (Wide Grip)

155 (12,11,9)

1 SCOOBY-DOOBY-DOO! at the bottom (not touching the chest).

Calves Raises

Bodyweight (30,20,15,12,12)

Alternating between two stacked 35# plates, one 35# plate, and the floor.

I used my Get Out Of Cardio Free Card today.

My final thoughts…

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

-It’s a good thing this low carb day is coming to an end.  I don’t think I could have held out too much longer.  Thank BOB for the internet and a soon to be confiscated credit card!

(Now if only I could find a nice place to hide my new juicer when it arrives.)

-"Who discovered we could get milk from cows, and what did he THINK he was doing at the time?"

Billy Connolly

-Chest and calves tomorrow.
