I truly believed that BOB had blessed me with the secret to eternal happiness this morning (or at least a spring and summer’s worth of happiness), when I awoke with the perfect excuse to once again get out of painting the interior of the house.
Sadly, my wife was under the impression that I had been blessed enough the last two spring and summers.

-Doing pulldowns first today instead of pullups was a nice shock to the system. My back isn’t waiting until tomorrow to get sore.

A weak snacking day, indeed! I promise tomorrow will be better.
On a brighter note, I am hopped up on energy right now.
Pre Workout/Breakfast: Water, oats, yogurt, apple, whey, glutamine, cinnamon.
Workout: Water, whey, dextrose, cinnamon.
Post Workout: Burritos and greens of a collard variety.
Snack: Red Jelly Beans*
Meal 4: Water, cottage cheese, apple, flax, whey, cinnamon.
Meal 5: Almonds**
Meal 6/Good Night Shake: Water, cottage cheese, peanut butter, whey.
*Relax, Superfriends. The amount of energy used to sort through the conflabbed bag, looking for the miniscule serving of red beans, before spilling the whole bag on the floor and having to drop down and pick them all up far and away exceeds the amount of sugar ingested.

FUDGE!!
FUDGE! FUDGE!! FUDGE!!!
I’m not sure if I’m cursing like a dork or wishing for a large chunk of the delightful confection first created in 1886 from a "fudged" batch of caramels (Thank you Good Eats! Or was it my Fannie Farmer book? Whatever!!)
MMMMM. Caramels!!
My energy levels have been bouncing around all morning. I started pretty damn low after a long "Don’t Worry Be Happy" filled night, but bounced up for a decent workout, only to sink down again a little while after showering up.
Right now, I’m waiting for the oolong to kick in and bring me back up.

Stiff Legged Deadlifts

My forearms were on fire by the time I finished up today’s workout, especially holding the bar for stiff legged deadlifts, so I called it a day on forearm work.
Finished up the exercise portion with some weighted hangs, which had my forearms screaming even more.
Cardio was 20 minutes on the Elliptical of Joy.

-Today was a great day, and I’m not just saying that because I loaded up on bacon cheese fries. I had buttloads of fun, even without the scarfing.
-By accident, I got Bobby McFerrin’s "Don’t Worry Be Happy" stuck in my head, and it won’t go away.
I think I’m in for a long night.

Surprisingly tame for an off day. DAMN!!
Meal 1: Water, oats, yogurt, apple, whey, glutamine, cinnamon.

Meal 3+4: Bacon cheese fries, Bacon cheeseburger, and french fries.
Meal 5: Boiled egg and almonds
Meal 6: Water, cottage cheese, peanut butter, whey.
-Lunch today was at Ruby Tuesdays. The portions were large, so I ended up taking it home and finishing up for dinner.

I zonked out for six and a half hours of blissful, uninterrupted sleep last night. It felt great.
Unfortunately, I had no idea what to do with myself so early in the morning without a scheduled workout to prepare for. Since I couln’t find my book, I ended up outside, overseeding the lawn.
After that, it was a mall trip with Number 1 Daughter, who, though only 11, knows how to take forever getting ready, like a grown woman!
Not only that, she knows how to spend money like it’s going out of style (actually, she gets that from me!)
Oh well. She had a great time and I survived yet another Build-A-Bear Workshop experience.

-I could not focus to save my life today. Over and over, I kept spacing out- while reading, in the kitchen, when my wife was talking to me (No, wait. That last one is normal. It’s called a defense mechanism!)
Seems like a good idea to take tomorrow off and regroup, which works out well since I have plans with Number 1 Daughter anyhoo.

Was that truly motivational?
What the FUH?!?
I really am out of it!!!
-Day off tomorrow.
