Chest and Calves
I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying this year’s bulk. Each week I’m progressing at a rate I didn’t think I had in me.
Today’s chest workout was better than last weeks. Once again nothing but raves for the dumbbell presses.
As always, I made it a point to start off five pounds heavier than last weeks start, and add on five pounds each set. My goals for reps were 12, 10, 8, 6- my results were 13, 9, 8, 7 (I may have not rested enough before my second set). Next week my working sets will be 10,8,6,4- and I will start off with a weight five pounds heavier than the weight I did for 10 reps today.
Nothing unusual about incline presses today, but on weighted dips, I found the five pound increase to the weights unusually light. I now need to take into consideration the fact that I’m doing weighted dips on triceps days as well, and make sure to increase to a heavier than usual weight.
After dumbbell flyes, I moved on to calves. After barbell raises and SL dumbbell raises, I couldn’t believe how large my calves had become. I was tempted to measure them, but refrained (Stick to the scedule).
Cardio after that, then shower!
