SO I have decided that taking an almost 2 month break from the gym was a bad idea. With my wife being 7 months pregnant I have not had the time or energy (not to mention the meds I am currently on) to go in to the gym early in the morning before work. I have restarted working out and can I say… ouch, I’m pretty sore right now and started out slow again to not kill myself or tear something. this time though I am dedicated to doing ALOT more cardio….. I have seemed to gain an extra layer of fat even though I am not eating any more or worse than usual, gotta love pregnancy sympathy symptoms…LOL I have taken 2 month breaks before and it has never hit me like this when I went back, but it is what it is and I am pushing through it all. Lower weight and higher reps is my motto right now, I have to make sure I build the strength in my shoulders again real well before I go heavy again. TIME TO GO DO WORK!!!!

I know there are a few people on here that have plantar fasciitis. I have it in both feet and it was confirmed that is my foot problem on wednesday. Then later that evening I had a flare up in my right foot…. severe itching on the ball of my foot and felt like a hundred needles being shoved into the bones in between my toes then it swole up. Today (friday) I can walk pretty normally on it but it is tender right at my heel and my toes where the tendon attaches. Any extra info on what makes it easier or pain relieval would greatly help.

So I had a severe sinus infection that put me down for a little over 3 weeks. The antibiotics I was prescribed were the strongest currently available for sinus and lung infections. It did a number on my stomach and intestines too as it seemed like anything I ate gave me gas/bloating. Right as I started feeling better my back went out of whack again because I hadnt been going to the gym and keeping it strong. So basically I missed 2 months from the gym.
Now I have started back and trying to go back in kinda slow so I dont injure myself. SO I have been working out about 3 weeks now and feeling better….kinda sore lately but better, plus I have been getting back the size that I had lost from not working out. I started taking Anabolic HALO and I wasnt sure until today how well it works. I have to say I like it so far, but it is all muscle memory that I am gaining back, and not new muscle growth.
I found the strength and sizeworkout in muscle and fitness and am thinking about trying it out for a month to shock my body again once I have been going back steady for two months so we will see. Oh yeah Illnesses and injuries SUCK!

It has been nice this week that I have had off from work bc pam is in Cali. Getting to go to the gym everyday has been nice as well as a little draining. I have been doing double the usual workout I am used to right now, plus all the extra cardio has been good, draining but good. taking 2 days off also since I will be going back to my regular 4 am routine next week. Boy it would be nice to make the money and have the ability to adjust my schedule so that I could get in all the workouts I want….

I had a hard time waking up this morning but was totally energized at the thought of working out this morning. It is chest day and I have minimized my workout to get the most out of it and the minimal time I have woring out at 430 am. I also started taking Yohimbe again before my workout and wore my beanie to help with focus/ block out any distractions. I wound up pushing my best in a long while.. 315 for 2 reps then a huge drop superset to totally burn and flush my chest. after that I did a set of push/ throws on the smith machine to help push even more blood to the muscle. Next I did declines, but I couldnt go too heavy since I have no spotter that early in the AM…. threw in 3 sets of arnold presses during the last 3 sets of declines and then some cardio… yeah I know I am a slacker in the cardio department, but I only have 1 hour in the mornings to work out…LOL last some abs and then a cool down for my chest…. it was a great day… now I just need to get off the comp and go do about 200 pushups before i go to bed….

So it has been a while since I posted on here. I have been slacking in the gym due to work and now I am going back to school as well. I decided to start geting up at 4AM so I can go into the gym before work. So yeah I am kinda dragging right now. At least I have started back in the gym, I just have to retune my work outs for the shorter amount of time because I only have about an hour and 15 minutes to work out each morning when I go. I have been WAY too lazy lately and it shows. I guess I need to take some pics to compare…LOL

Sunday I went into the gym and during my warm up my MP3 player died on me and I was a little crushed. I love to have my music playing to help me focus on the weight I am pushing or pulling. Being that it was a chest day I think my focus was spot on. After doing my sets with the dumbbells I jumped on the smith machine…. since my partner wasnt there AGAIN….. I threw on my weight and kept up till I did my last set, well one rep at 295. I also surprised myself going straight to inclines and pushing 245 3x on the last set, then 185 4x on military presses… even after all the other weight I had pushed already… Declines were rather weak at only 245 4x on the last set, but my right wrist was getting weak because of working on my truck all the rest of the weekend. Over all I am proud that I could push the weight I did! I do have to admit that doing 100 push ups a day with the erfect pushup has built my strength in my shoulders back greatly.

For not being able to go to the gym like I want lately, I cant complain too much. The beginning sets of dumbbell presses went just fine, I just didnt want to burn out before my barbell presses. After my set of Arnold presses I jumped on the decline and did 3 sets building up to 225 then a burnout set of 15 reps at 135. when I got to the flat bench I used the smith machine bc I knew I was on the down slope on energy. I pushed 225 ok, but could only squeek out 1 rep at 275. I just felt fried. I finished everything off with flat and incline dumbbell flys then a set on the fly machine. Not really taking anything to help with energy during my workout and not having a workout partner for extra motivation made the day hard.

Today I was desiring the gym, but i was just dragging. My shoulder workout portion was as usual.. I just didnt go High intensity. I added drop sets into the mix as the last set on most of my excercises as well. I did deadlifts close to last to maximize their effect. I was good getting up to 315 but couldnt get 405 above a foot above the floor so i dropped the weight to 365 and did that as my last set. after that I was pretty well burnt and struggled through my last sets on my rows and lat pulldowns. I even went to burn out on wide grip pullups and couldnt do one. I may be a little sore tomorrow…LOL
