After I read her story yesterday, I realized there is no reason I can’t reach my goals like she did. I will be 40 in February and after the last few months of saying…"I’m going to loose 40 b4 40"…and that is less than 3 months away and nearly impossible to accomplish, I can at least start now..and have a new goal….to be in the best shape of my life AT 40!
I don’t lack the desire to work out ( I love working out), It’s just the part..:"getting" to the gym..that bothers me. Since I moved in with my boyfriend my routine has changed. hm…that’s a lie… it actually changed after I lost 20 lbs summer of 2007….for the reunion..and then again after the Triathlon this last summer… It’s almost like I had those goals, met them and forgot about the long term goal…getting healthy and fit.
Anyways, I can blame the weight gain on quitting smoking or the fact I have a boyfriend that accepts me as I am..but what a load of crap that is…there is really no reason I should of gained back the 20 lbs..no reason I don’t go to the boxing class..and really no reason when I am not going to the gym daily or getting on my treadmill in the basement. At least I can say there is no clothes hanging on it.
So here I go……..my long journey into a fit healthy woman at 40! I’m so excited about turning 40 and I’m even more excited about the challenges ….
Today I’m thinking my number one challenge will be when I have to give up Mt. Dew…sigh..and no I don’t like Diet Mt. Dew. :O(
I have less than half a bottle left.. bye bye Mt. Dew…
