Dedication

As many others on Bodyspace get asked, I am asked how to get in shape, lose fat, or gain muscle quite often. Most people already know at least some of the answer. McDonald’s and other fast food places are not going to help lose the gut nor is watching TV for hours going to build muscle, but the real key that people miss is dedication. To reach any physical goal one has to have the drive and will to keep pushing until the goal is reached. Nothing else can replace simply hitting the gym regularly or pushing away that donut not matter how often friends try and talk you into eating it. And it takes time. It takes a while to build good quality muscle, and it takes a good while to drop the fat, especially the last few pounds. So for anyone just starting out, keep going day after day and week after week. The results will come.

So true… thanks for the reminder! I’m currently in tech school, and over a month ago was diagnosed with tendonitis in my feet (can hardly run b/c it hurts); was on a waiver, not allowed to do PT (physical training)- and gained a couple pounds- physical limitations can really get one down if there is no dedication there…. Just got some inserts from the foot dr. and gonna hit it hard to the best of my ability- dedication is key! Thank you so very much for posting this!!!
