Okay so i’ve been drinking too much lately. I turned the big 21 2 weeks ago and it’s summer time. I’ve been celebrating also my "B" in calculus that I opted to take at my local community college because no way could I pass it at my University without dying
Well I just did deads, squats, and military presses. Feeling good. But all this drinking dehydrates me and my muscles.. which obviously hinders the growth. I do get my protein in, however… at least 100grams a day (i shoot for 170g, im 178 lbs)
I’m definitely gaining weight still, was 170 at very beginning of June, now i’m 177.9 I feel like i’m gaining half muscle half fat so it’s fine. I’ll cut when im about 190.. (look at my pics im still a bit lean… no "GUT")
Females… add me

What do you all think? I don’t really have any face photos here but click my link, I’m feeling it out and going to get my friend who has a Canon SLR (and majoring in photography) to take some photos of me so that I can submit them to scouts and agencies….. *crosses fingers* My confidence is fairly high in this, I have a 9.9 rating on hotornot of 102 ratings. I’ve gotten "wow you should be a model" or "your face is gorgeous" various times

For real, I get lots of motivation to finish every rep when I’m looking at some really cute chick wearing practically nothing. You all know what you’re doing!!!
I’m using my local community college’s gym right now since i’m not in my (giant) University’s town for the summer. The gym is of decent size (about 1/5 the size of Uni’s) but no one works out! I do go later in the day (3-5pm) so I miss the mornign crowd but there’s always just 1 or 2 other guys lifting, and a couple of older (and non-attractive) women on the treadmills.
I’m just griping.. I had a great workout and feel great

I feel great, just got done working out. I am finally not rushing my workouts and spending 1 hour on just 3 workouts (4×5 today) instead of 45ish minutes. 3 - 5 minute rest times (5 for when i’m pushing my body hard) are very much needed for a good workout. Waiting 2 minutes doesn’t give my body enough time to rest…
My post workout meal:
Whey protein shake (20 oz. 2% milk with 1 scoop whey)
2 little bite sized pieces of dark chocolate (antioxidants and sugar for post workout)
Small salad with lots of hard boiled eggs
Large portion of fried rice + vegetables (an entire plate full)
I’m full

Ah. Working out makes you feel so good.
Today was my squat, bench, press (5×5)… and dips (3×10). Just showered and ate (rice and veggies, whey protein shake, few bites of cake). Bout to go to class but at least i’ll be feeling great as I sit there and attempt to learn Calculus. I’m bad at math but Calc 1 is all I need to continue at my university
I <3 endorphins

Hi all.. feeling great. Just drank a 20 oz protein shake. And took a few bits of chocolate cake for my dextrose/glucose
Today was my 4×5, 1×5, 1×8 (6 sets in all) for my bench, squat, and rows. I also did 3 sets of curls, and unfortunately they don’t even have a dip stand. How lame?! They have EVERYTHING but that. And I didn’t do my sit-ups like i’m supposed to, I never do them. Maybe I don’t care about abs right now? I don’t know. I need to make a habit of doing 3 sets of 30 weighted sit ups every other night. Religiously. I can get a 6 pack fairly quick, just requires me actually caring about it, lol. If you hadn’t guessed i’m on Billstarr (madcow) 5×5 program, it’s great….
I can tell in the mirror that i’m definitely getting more muscle mass, and also definition. I mostly have noticed my pecs have been getting more defined as well as my ass. Well, ass is just getting bigger, squats REALLY make your ass big and muscular. I’m afraid it will get too big and stick out too far so maybe I should take a break and do auxiliary workouts that work same muscles as squat? I know you can’t replace the "squat" though, such a powerful workout.
Saw (and said ‘hi’) to a really cute girl running at the gym, imagine that. That is all the motivation I need to finish all my sets and my last reps because I know I can get me some Feeling "bowed-up" as in, the creatine and such (bcaa’s) has made my arms and chest and everything harder to move, they feel so hard and I love the bit of vascularity I have going. Veins all up in my forearms, one thick vein on my biceps… and also a fairly large one that goes all the way down my right calve. Not left. Lol.

Personally, I started weight lifting about 3 years ago in my senior year or High School. I got addicted. I took a weight lifting class, which was one of those classes where about 4 of us guys actually worked out, another couple guys sat around and never did anything, and about 6 females who never did anything. I LOVED it. I started off by going to body building forums and getting a lot of good information. I was consuming whey protein, creatine, and eating a lot to gain weight. I was underweight, because I was 6 foot with only 140 lbs of weight.
I have lifted weights on and off throughout the past few years. During my senior year of high school, I gained about 25 pounds and ended the year weighing in at 165. Keep in mind i’ve been 6 foot ever since then. I lost all of that weight because I quit lifting weights, and eating a lot. I was eating 3500+ calories a day, and consuming at least 160 grams of protein a day. Anyway, I started back up with massive consistency about 6 months ago (a little bit before Christmas of 2008) with full force. I was back down to a depressing 140 lbs, and had low self-esteem/confidence. As a sophomore in College (at the time), I needed any confidence boosters I could use.
So this time, instead of doing my own FLAWED workout plan, I started following the beginners plan called Rippetoes, which gets you familiar with basic bar bell workouts such as squats and bench press. Then I got bored with such an easy program (3 sets of 5 reps) after a month or two, and found Billstar5×5 program and have been using it ever since. It actually mixes things up so that you confuse, or "shock" your muscles into growing more and more until you plateau. The program consists of lifting 3 times per week, and for example, Monday i’ll do 5×5 of squat, bench, rows, and sit-ups. Then on Friday i’ll do 4×5 of the same workouts, do a 1×5 that is 2.5% higher than my previous highest weight, then do a 1×8 of the fourth set of the 4×5. Also, any 4×5 or 5×5 workout is setup so that I continuously add weight for each set. Usually I will add about 5 lbs total for each set until I reach the 4th of 5th set. Then I should be to where I can barely finish my last rep, forcing my muscles to grow. I am now 175 lbs, for a total of 35 pounds gained in the last 6 months. HUGE boost in my confidence. I plan on bulking up to ~200 and then cutting 10 or 15 pounds. I’ll do what I feel at the time.
The most important thing, in my opinion, about body building and gaining muscle fast is to be consistent with your workouts and don’t get lazy. Once you start learning how programs work and your muscles grow with the aid of supplements such as Multi-vitamins and whey protein, you are on the right path. I take BCAA’s (branched chain amino acids: which are the basic building blocks of muscle growth), Creatine (allows your muscles to store more ATP and recover a lot quicker), multi-vitamins, whey protein (at least 170 grams/day), and fish/flax seed oils for my omega 3 fatty acids (which are for your eyes, heart, and blood flow). I am "all natural" in that I don’t take any pro-hormones or HGH, steroids, or anything illegal.
