Bulking up for the winter, getting ready for the spring!

Well, here is my first blog entry for my site. Hopefully it will keep me focused and mortivated towards my many goals and others will find it entertaining and motivational…..
As I sit here, I have just finished a light protein meal and am plotting my next workout. Tonight will be a chest workout, and although I know what I am going to be doing in the gym, there is a part of me that has no idea! You see, I always make it so that no two training sessions are the same….I focus on the heavy intense compound movements and add a movement or two to compliment and finish off the session.
I had increased my caloric intake considerably and I’m beginnig to see some size gains and that in itself is a motivator! My intermediate goal now is to see how much weight I can gain before the end of the year and into January and then to do some defining. Right now I am at 245 pounds, but would like to see 260 or more.
As far as "cutting", I like a balance..not extreme cuts but not too bulky. But that is just a preference that I have. There are guys that like the shredded abs look, I like the "fill up every doorway you walk through" look.
And with that, I’m off to the gym and will post more of my routine, thoughts, progress as the time goes by…
