How Carbs work!!!

Carbs are imoportant for muscle growth, it is the bodies #1 primary source of energy for heavy intense workouts. Each gram of carb contains 4 calories. there are simple carbs and complex carbs, simple carbs digest fast due to the sugar(sugar releases insulin). when insulin is realesed it rushes to get glucose(what carbs are called once in ur blood stream) stored into muscles and or as fat. When carbs are stored in the muscle its called glycogen. The process of carbs turning into glycogen is called glycogenesis, the process of carbs being converted back to glucose to be used as fuel for heavy intense workouts is called glycanalysis. Each food that has complex carbs digest slowly at different rates to figure. To figure out the rates of look up the Glycemic Index.
