My totals today are 1424 calories, 65% from protein, 6% from carbs, and 28% from fat.

I’m doing fine today. I took a nap. I’m out of coffee, and I only have decaffineted green tea, which is just worthless. I’ve decided to stick with Bobby’s advice and not add the fat burner. They are very expensive. I would rather get more meat, or a different protein powder. Everyone seems to love VPX. I’m just cheap. It’s hard to beat $25 for 6 pounds of EAS, and it tastes okay. It mixes with a fork in water. That means I have to stay consistent with my cardio. It’s so confusing when you get advice from everyone on the best thing to do. I figure for my first contest, I’ll stick with him and see how it goes. He suggests running in the morning. It was great getting up before the kids. The house was so quiet. I even did my abs. Which yea me, I have a cut on the bottom of my lower abs. I’ve never seen that before. Why are my abs and upper body coming in, and my thighs and butt are dragging behind? I guess I’m just screwed. My butt will be the last place to lose the fat.

I also ran a mile. It felt good. I don’t really care about people pooh pooing cardio. I love it, and I’m going to do it everyday, maybe twice.

I’m going to add another no carb day this week. I had hoped I would have lost more fat from my butt and thighs by now. Everyone keeps telling me that’s the last place I will lose fat, because it’s the first place I gain fat. It’s very frustrating. I’ve taken care of a few more competition details. Now I feel like I can focus more on getting into contest shape. I am quite stoked, most of my friends and family members know about the contest, and they are very supportive. It makes the whole process more fun. They even want to get in on it. So I’ll be setting up some hikes. I think that will help my flabby butt.
I hate going to the gym. I have weights, barbells, a bench, a power rack, treadmill, etc. at home. I know I don’t have everything, and my husband prefers to go to the gym, so I went with him. I think it’s the least productive workout place. You have to move around all these people. Sometimes you have to wait for machines. It’s a total hook up joint. If another teenage boy sits by me to curl some dumbbells and stare, I’m going to go nuts. What is with people talking on their cell phones while “working out? I’m sure not all gyms suck. It just seems that way in Tempe, where the majority of the people are between the ages of 18 and 25 and come from Califonia. Oh that’s right today is a No carb day.

This weekend was pretty hectic. I didn’t eat much food. Friday was a low carb day, and Saturday high carb day, I ate about 1600 calories. I feel pretty weak. Today’s an off day for me. It’s also no carb day. It’s 8pm and I’ve eaten only four meals, very small too. I’m going to just eat anything. I don’t know exactly what a refeed is, but I need it.

After the ordeal of getting here, I really don’t feel like posting my diet. I don’t know if it is peak time or what, but sometimes this site moves very slowly. I’m alreay irritated. This is suppose to help me right? I’m tired, and I’m suppose to go out tonight. I was excited to realize one of my favorite restaurants serves all sorts of clean food. Pita Jungle, they have brown rice, red potatoes, and the best chicken. They also have an assortment of fresh fruits, smoothies, beans, Greek food, liquor, which I will pass one. It’s a great place with three locations, Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale. Hopefully, I can rushambow my friends into eating there tonight. I’m sick of sashimi and steak. Which I do a much better job cooking steak myself. You can buy a lot of good steak for $25 at the grocery store. That pisses me off. Anyway, I ate:
Meal 1 oatmeal, pb, an apple and protein powder
Meal 2 eggs
Meal 3 salmon and broccoli
Meal 4 protein shake, pineapple, and allbran
Meal 5 salmon, sweet potato, pineapple, and salad
Meal 6 if I can help it, Pita Jungle chicken, brown rice, strawberries, Hummus, and tahini
otherwise sashimi on lettuce and a protein bar, which really should be called a sugarery carb bar. Even a bar called, "Pure protein" has more carb grams than protein, wtf is up with that. I don’t care to add my totals. I will be doing shoulders, and arms today. My least favorite workout. Joy….

I’m so hungry. It’s been an hour since my last meal. Why am I so freaking hungry? I want to eat a jar of peanut butter. I’m drinking lots of water. I hit my limit for coffee and tea, and I’m out of low cal spice cider. I can’t chew anymore gum. Thank gahd tomorrow is a high carb day. I’m going to eat so much. I can’t wait. I have the worst headache. I’m just trying to pass the time. I have 63 more minutes until dinner.

I had a little sausage in my coffee this morning. My two year old is so sweet. She thought she was being helpful, when she dropped a piece of smoked sausage in my coffee. I didn’t even notice her do it. I just saw the oil floating in my coffee and poured it out. She told me, “Mommy, I make you coffee. What an angel. They both have been fairly well behaved lately. Maybe it’s because mommy is less beachy.
I am in the process of placing my order for a posing suit. I don’t expect that I will get a suit sponsorship. That would be nice, but not likely. I am nervous. I don’t know what my measurements will be. I am assuming they will be similar to what they were when I weighed 145 pounds. I had more fat then so my measurement will be different. I am losing the weight in a strange way. My upper body seems like it’s shrinking away, but I still have a lot of fat on my butt and thighs. I think that’s where all the fat is concentrated. I need to run. I am going to go back to running. I just don’t feel like I’m doing anything when I walk on the treadmill. I’m going to start running 1 to 2 miles everyday, except Sunday. Then on my normal cardio days, Tuesday and Thursday, I’ll dance too. I took Vicky’s advice and I have been doing squats, leg curls, etc after my normal lifts. I think it has helped. I have almost three months. I’m not too worried.
My totals today will be 1273 calories, 67% from protein, 9% from carbs, and 24% from fat.

Side note: I was so hungry yesterday before dinner, meal 4. I chewed a whole pack of gum and drank a liter of water. It really puts it all in perspective. I can’t screw up my diet. I just wanted to eat some chicken while I was cooking it, to stop the pain. I couldn’t. I have worked so hard, I can’t stop now. Not for a little discomfort. I hope it gets easier.

I’ve been trying to make my favorite recipes in a clean way. I love Mexican food, but it’s anything but clean. All the sauce, and the cheese, and most of the food is deep fried. I just can’t go out to eat at Macayos ever again. That’s depressing. So I cooked a lean pork tenderloin in the crock pot all day. I shredded it then added green chile salsa and rolled it up in a couple of corn tortillas. I had it along with a cup of pineapple and 1/2 a cup of black beans. Damn that was good. Who says eating clean has to be boring?
My totals are calories 1904, 45% protein, 38% carb, and 18% fat.

Today I train my legs. My goal is to have a hard time going up the stairs. I want to be sore. Otherwise, I need to add another training day. I’m really not ready for that. I would like to have some energy.

Traing schedule

Diet

I was very bored with my diet, since I had been eating the same crap for five months. Carb cycling has added a lot of variety to my diet. It’s also helped me eliminate my cheat meals entirely. I have had success with it. I take CLA instead of the fish oil supplements that Twin Peak suggests. Here is a link to his article one carb cycling.

My totals are 1273 calories, 67% protein, 9% carbs, and 24% fat.

I’m going to do shorter more intense cardio sessions. I miss running, so I’m going to run a mile twice a day as fast as I can and see what that does for me. I am on schedule for where I want to be, so I probably won’t add a fat burner, until I start slowing on the fat loss.
My posing is going well. I have been practicing everyday with my shoes on for 10-15 minutes. That’s about all I can stand. It is amazing how much your muscles burn just from flexing them. I flex my abs effortlessly all the time. I hope I will have that much control over my whole body. My toughest areas are my back and butt.
