No more messin’ around!

March 19, 2007

 Hello everyone,

Sorry I have been away so long! I am back and I am NOT MESSING AROUND anymore!!!!! I am competeing in June! 2 shows coming up! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait!!!!! I will come in tighter and leaner! NO DOUBT!

This winter as most of you know, I was having major problems with my digestive system. This is when I turned to Greenwich Sports Medicine. Dr. Mah explained my body doesn’t digest fats (not that I eat a lot), and also he found out that I am severely allergic to dairy, eggs, Salmon, tuna, garlic and broccoli! GO FIGURE! Those foods are staples in any bodybuilder or figure competitors’ diet! MAN! I though the world was coming to an end….SO all winter I was playing with new foods and finding out what worked for me. It took me months to finally get myself back on track and feel better. Just to give you an idea of the diet I have been doing for the last 2 weeks….

Meal 1- 1 scoop protein
1 teaspoon glutamine

Meal 2- ½ cup oats
6 oz bison burger

Meal 3- ½ grapefruit
15 raw almonds
Meal 4- 6-8 oz protein mostly chicken or turkey
½ yam or ½ cup brown rice

Meal 5- 1 scoop protein
1 teaspoon glutamine

Meal 6-8 oz fish
3 cups salad

I also eat tons of asparagus and yellow and orange peppers. I find they do not get my bloated for give me pains in my belly. Since at this point I am doing NO CARDIO, I have to keep my diet as strict as possible. I am trying to put on as much muscle as I can before I start stripping down.<script></script>

I am so motivated to look better than my first show! I know I have the heart to do it. I know a lot of you saw the sacrifices from my first show….Well, this time, especially since I know my troubled digestive system will hold me down, I HAVE to be completely strict with NO cheat days….

I am 125lbs now; my goal is to get on stage at 110, and 12% bodyfat! I know I can do it! I have so many positive people who really want to see me succeed. My family and friends are my motivation through it all…..

As I always say, when you have a dream and a goal, and you want it bad enough, NOTHING and NO ONE will stop you from getting to the top! My goal is to compete 2 times a year until I am 40. Get enough experience, so I can be a role model for women with the same dreams!

Have a great day
Love, Tina.

Guess who is back!!!

November 6, 2006

Guess who’s back!!! YEp, you guessed it! Me. Oky, so i took the rest of September and all of October off from strict dieting…ya know, since I dieted from March till this past September, I guess you could say, I needed the break. Now…I didn’t take a break like a lot of others would take..I still go to the gym 2times a day, I still workout hard, I still have 6 small meals a day. The only difference is, if i feel like eating 25 raw alomds, i did. If I feel like having a all natural pb& j sandwich on Ezekiel bread, I did…. SUndays are family day and so I cook or we eat out and I will indulge in a slice of pizza. Well, NOT ANYMORE!!! I am competing in March, and so the diet begins…One chest day a week, adn super strict during the week. This time it’s about getting leaner than the first time, and being more sculpted!!!
I am going to be 35 on the 16th of November which I am sooooooo STRESSED ABOUT!
I can do this! I keep telling my self. I am in control of my destiny!
Have a great night!

One month to the day!

October 15, 2006

Wow! I can’t believe a month has gone by since my first competition! Boy does time fly! I have continued to work out like a maniac, but my cardio has dropped from 2 times a day at 45 minutes each to 1 time a day 3 times a week for 45 minutes. I am eating clean, since I have for 14 years! I had maybe 3 cheat meals since the competition. I have put on 3 lbs…I am sure of which is water.
I am pursuing two shows coming up! One in APril which is the Long Island Experience (amazing) and the other is in Worchetser, Mass. So what does that mean??? I have to get back on the wagon, FULL FORCE! I think I am 80% there already. I am focused and determined to place high in the ranks once again! My goal for the new year is to go "PRO"…. I love this sport, I love the way it makes me fell, and most importantly the challenge of tweaking and chaging my body! It’s amazing and I am NOT bragging….Because those who know me know I am as humble as they get!!! BUT, at almost 35 years old, I am just getting better!!! Ahhhh! I love this sport!

I did it!!!!!!!

September 23, 2006

I did it!!!!!! I finally made to my first Figure competition…..I never thought the day would come…It was such a long but wonderful journey…Months and months of preperation and hard work finally made off! I came in second place! Wow! I walked off that stage with my head up high and tears rolling down my face! What an amazing experience and to hear people I didn’t even know screaming and cheering for my number, was just so amazing! I was up against 12 beautiful girls with amazing bodies…. I didn’t even think about placing. I went into this expecting to just get up there and do my best…. when they called the top five girls, and called my number, I said “Holy SHit!” out loud, but then covered my mouth and the tears started. At that point, if I had places 5th I would have been so happy….. so when we all walked out there and they called out 5th, then 4th and then third, my knees started to buckle and I just kept thinking to my self. YES!!! YOU DID IT!!!!!!!  I Placed second, the first time I ever competed! NOW< My expectations are higher of my self, and next time I compete, I WILL place first…. I will let NOTHING get in my way!
