Time Time Time…….

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

We started the transformation.   I have had little time to write or do anything since.  I won’t even share with you where I am sitting as I write this.  I wake, shower, eat. mix up shakes and supplements as I eat, go to the gym, eat, work, eat while working, eat, sleep….and do it all again.  On my off days I go back to the gym for a stint of cardio on the torture machines.

I think it will  be worth it in the end.  I hope so.

Twelve Weeks!

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

Weigh in was yesterday.  Twelve weeks of total dedication now!  I weighed in at 220 and 18.2% body fat.  I was hoping for a bit more.  The down side to this transformation contest is that you spend about six weeks trying to get your body fat up without eating a bunch of junk.  Almost impossible for me.

My partners….Gate weighed 198 at 20.2 %, Nick weighed 240 at 23%, and Adam weighed 172 at 14.5%.

I had started my strict diet right away.  You would think I would be full all of the time, but I am starved all of the time.  I have our diets on a spread sheet and our supplement regiment broken down by the day.  I think we are as ready as we can be.

I am going to post in the forum section and see if we get any feedback as we go.  I think I am going to post in the supplement review section because of all of ths supplements we are going to be using.  Maybe someone else can use the knowledge we gain?

Weigh in!

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

Weigh in is in 25 hours!  I have a good team of four.  I was in good shape all year and then went heavy the last six weeks.  The scale said I was up to 221 pounds this morning.  It was the goal, but the contest makes a guy go unhealthy in an attempt to be the most improved at the end.  I can’t wait for weigh in.

I am going to do a log of the workouts and supplements I use through the twelve weeks.  I think I will use this blog and the Supplement Review section to do the logs.  Some of the supplements were given to us free from a very generous company (AMS).  I was also chosen to do a thirty day log on new caffeine product.  I think I will still do the logs under the supplement log, not the sponsored log.  I am going to be very honest in my review.

Tomorrow or the next day we will have new photos to add to the body space.  I warn you the photos are going to be ugly.  Not to be viewed on a full stomach!

Fatboy!

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

I have been eating and gaining weight like a steer on corn grain for for the last six weeks.  The body tansformation contest is supposed to be healthy, but I have let my health and shape slip to the very depths in an attempt to win the contest.  I have been lifting heavy with low reps.  I feel like i have more muscle than last year covered by fat.

There are over twenty people at my work that are joining the contest. I have been writing diets, workouts and supplement ideas for almost everyone of them.  Mucho work!  Worth it if they work out and improve.  I am pumped up, but I want to do well myself.  Five days until weigh in.  Then twelve weeks of total dedication.

Six Days and counting

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Six days until weigh in.  I have been eating fairly poorly.  I have been lifting heavy with low reps.  I an ready.  AMS is going to sponsor our team with some of their products.  I have also been chosen to test a caffeine product during the contest.  I am pumped.  I can’t wait for it to start.

I added one more team member to our team.  He is my best friend (next to my wife).  He is an animal.  He grew up in New Guinea and ran track in his bare feet.  I am excited to add him to the team.

Things are looking up.  This year is going to be a good one.
