Yesterday was wieght day. I switched it up just a bit. I did the same four basic lifts (squat, bench, bent row, and shoulder press). I increased the weight just slightly and dropped the reps to eight. So I did three sets of eight reps for each lift, concentrating on strict form. Afterward, I felt good for lifting, yet somewhat disappointed, like I did not do enough. I did not have that "used up" feeling I usually get. Today, any dissapointment is gone as the muscle soreness is telling me that less reps with strict form definately takes it’s toll.
I am now headed for 20 -30 min. of cardio. I am going to try something a little different with tonight’s cardio as well.
Have a good one everybody.

Yesterday I did my morning routine of pushups and ab work followed by stretching. I did not work out yesterday evening. Instead I spent about an hour and fifteen minutes weed-whipping. I felt guilty for not working out until I looked at the lawn this morning…it needed the attention.
I find it amusing that I feel guilt for not doing "formal exercises". Just two years ago I did not do any exercising. Well, that is progress I guess. I do feel better today than I did a year and a half ago.
Now that I think about it, I have to say I think it is O.K. to occasionally substitute "chores" for a workout. Just go about the chores with the same determination and intensity that you would have exercising and it is a win/win.
Have a great weekend everyone.

I am going to start with 5 min. jumping rope, followed by 3 sets of flipping a tractor tire 8 times then 30 overhand blows to the tire with the post maul. After that I do a reverse tire flip where I stand inside the tire to begin the flip. Three sets of 8 of the flip followed by 30 side-swing blows to the tire. I am going to finish with a 20 minute bike ride this evening.
Good day to all.

I am about to head for home and the garage gym. I have lifted in at least half a dozen gyms in the last 6 weeks. I have to say I agree with Dorothy. There is no place like home. Have a good evening.
