Things are moving along slowly - constant work shift changes are wreaking havoc on sleeping and moving the workout schedule around, but still pushing forward.
Something odd happened last night after work. I think I may have sat down wrong or something, but I had the worst abdominal muscle cramp I’ve ever had. As I’m laying back trying to massage the feeling of a charley horse out of my upper abs, I could actually feel at least a 4-pack there with some nice definition. Now I just need to get the fat to melt off to actually see them!

Well, I know the point I was missing this week was cardio and it really shows in my numbers. Weight went down just a bit, BF% dropped a bit but everything else stayed the same except for my shoulders which grew a tiny bit. LOL, at least it’s some progress. Time to hit the cardio hard this week.

Well, my first week is almost down. I can tell too - I’m beat. Don’t think I’m getting enough sleep. That and starting on a new stack, changing shift hours, trying to keep the diet clean, etc, etc. I’m still pushing along though. We’ll see how things are progressing when I do my next weight, bf% and measurements on Sunday!

Well, I finally got a tape measure today and broke down and did my initial body measurements. Ugh, they’re embarassing!!! Well, have to look at it this way, they’ll only get better!
Thanks to a few good friends on here, my order from Cellucor finally arrived and I’ll be ready to start on that tomorrow. Picking up some whey tonight as well. All things are ready for me to hit the weights and cardio from hell!

Well, here it is the day after the second set and surprisingly, I don’t feel all that bad. I’m going to take the ab set out of the lifting day and instead to a full ab workout from "Ab Boot Camp" to my cardio session on non-lifting days. Ahh, can’t wait to start seeing some subtle changes.

Well, was wondering how today would go. I was only a bit sore from the first workout. I was able to jump 5-10 lbs on most of the exercises. There was only one I wasn’t able to move up on, and hell, I still couldn’t finish the set on it but still surprised that my quads are doing as good as they are. My right one atrophied a bit after my knee surgery 2 years ago. No pain or anything so leg extensions will stay the same until I can get the 10 reps in.
Those were the easiest 30 decline crunches I’ve ever done! Now if I could only do real pull/chin ups without the assistance machine but I know that will come with time.
Moving up again on Fri!!!

Well, went and did it. Tonight was the first show at the new routine. Overall, not bad at all. Got through all 12 exercises plus 10 reps of twisting knee raises for abs in 30 minutes. Let’s see if I can move up a little in weight in 2 days!

Well, as I sit and research and research and talk to more and more people, I think I’ve finally found the routine I’m going to try. I found it here on bb.com. I’m looking at doing the Three Day Workout Program:

:popUp(’exerpop.php?Name=Barbell+Curl’)”>Barbell Bicep Curls 1 X 8 - 10 reps
:popUp(’exerpop.php?Name=Pullups’)”>Weighted Pullups 1 X 8 - 10 reps
:popUp(’exerpop.php?Name=Standing+Calf+Raises’)”>Standing Calf Raises 1 X 8 - 12 reps
Abs - 1 X 10 - 15 reps
I’ll either do cardio the day of the workout or on the none lifting days. Let’s see how this goes!

For many reasons, all of which are bad excuses, I kind of fell of the wagon with any sort of working out, exercise, etc. Time to pick myself up and get back in the gym. The weights and stuff aren’t going to lift themselves.
