So…starting off breaking the rules. I really want to test myself, so I’m adding additional exercises to my doggcrapp training regimen. The goal is to be able to do a 4 day split (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)…but only if my recovery rates are fast enough. I am only logging the final set of each exercise (each exercise contains 4 pyramid warm-up sets and a final working set with either straight reps or using the rest/pause method.)
*denotes the additional exercises
Workout One
Flat Bench Press (Hammer) 410 x 15 reps (Rest/Pause)
*Iso Lat wide Chest press (hammer) 410 x 15 (Rest/Pause)
Iso Military Press (Hammer) 270 X 15 (Rest/Pause)<
*Machine Lat raises 130 x 12 (straight)
Pulldown Close gripped 190 x 15 (Rest/Pause)<
*Seated Rows (Hammer) 270 X 15 (Rest/Pause)<
TRICEPS…the gym closed early so I will add the tris to the 2nd workout.

I am posting the remaining two workouts in the 6 workout cycle and not posting anything else until week 8. (I’ve come to understand why I have never been able to maintain training logs…though beneficial they are an exercise in tedium)
Workout 5
Iso flat bench Hammer 410×9 r/p *** (the difference in the isolated bench from the hammer bench in workout one makes me think that I might need to do more of the iso movements to balance out my stregth)
Decline Hammer 410×13 r/p (…those these reults make me question what I prevously stated)
*iso lat wide chest hammer 450×6< big jump in wt from last week will try r/p for next cycle
iso military press hammer 270×13r/p (wt increase from workout 1)
reverse machine flies 200×11

"You get under the bar, it’s all about you. With bodybuilding you still had to rely on the judges and how they felt that day. But with powerlifting, it’s just you and the bar. There’s nothing like lifting heavy ****. " David Tate (T-Nation interview)

Since my sun sign is Aries and my moon is in Picies, I’m metaphysically prone to blowing a lot of hot air, releasing steam and a tendency towards flighty-ness. Lifting grounds me. Ties me to the earth. Gives me focus. At least that’s what I tell myself.
