What I did today oh and a question

After over sleeping I realize the gym was closing at 2pm, and it was already noon.  I rushed over there in my new gym outfit, I love the fact that I can go down a size and still look good.  Today was just bi’s, tri’s, and shoulders.  That went very well, with abs on the side and to finish off with 40 mins of cardio.  Why do I get so hungry when I am done working out?  I swear I could so pig out and ruin everything.  Right now I just chew gum till I get home and have my protein shake and drink lots of water.  But I am still hungry and I am afraid to eat and not lose but not gain weight either.   What should I do, eat before I workout or what?

Where do I start?  Let’s see school was out for the summer, and so the boys where home.  I signed them up for a swim team, giving me 2 hours to work out in the mornings.  All went well till it was time for my vacation, I threw my back out so bad I could not walk.  I saw my Dr the day before we left and I asked for a shot of cortisone and instead just a bunch of pills.  I got to my vacation spot with little pain at first then it got worse.  What a girl to do but drink all week to numb.  Yea, I was a lush, started at 10am and did not stop till bed time.  I got home saw my Dr again and she put me in rehab and that where I have been since July.  Now that is over with I will be starting up my routine again on Tues when the boys start school.  Whew, what a mouth full….

My gym partner is 11 yr

Yea you read that right, he is 11.  And happens to be my son, he wanted to compete when he turns 13, and right now he is ripped!  I pulled him out of school early do to issues with his classroom.  I told him he is on my workout schedule instead of his dad and we do things differently.  This week so far was great, I challenge him and he did the same for me, just pushing each other.  I was amazed at his strength and a few times I had to stop him thinking he is going to hurt himself.  I wish he would spend more time in his legs than his arms and chest.  I keep telling him he is top heavy, and he agree to work on his legs with me.  If it was not the fact we may have pervs on this site I would post pics of him.

Chantix and my training

May 16, 2008

I quit smoking back in Feb and I did well for 3 weeks.  Then the stress and anxiety crept in and I picked it up again.  Being frustrated with this addiction I saw my Dr, and she prescribe chantix for me.  Now this stuff is expensive and is not cover under my insurance.  I got it yesterday, and had my first dose, it says to continue smoking the first week on it then stop.  I hope this works, I will be on this for 3 months and I hope to stop all together by next week. 

I am concern about weight gain, but with my training in check I will have to make sure I watch what I eat. 

Training is going really well, people are noticing my shoulders and arms and telling me how nice they look.  That makes me feel so good that others notice and not my husband.  I am still cutting and will continue so until the end of the summer or beginning of fall.  I have a lot of weight to lose and I am just taking my time.  As they all say you did not put it on over night, you will not lose it over night.

Monday blues

I did not work out Thursday or Friday due this bad cold and the fact my body was aching from trainer day.  I slept all weekend long and all and this morning.  Waking up before noon was nice, no kids to yell out and I was feeling really tired still.  I mustard the strength to get dress and go.  I got there and worked on my legs, and from there I felt rejuvenated.  I felt like a different person, not the tired and rather sleep person. 

Lately I have notice my collar bone is showing, it makes me look hungry.  I have not seen it in years and I hate the look of it.  I like the look that my neck and face is slimmer and longer, but dang why the collar bone.  Ugh!

Trainer day

Wednesday are the days I see my trainer.  She is awesome and so hardcore.  But today was different, I am sick.  I have this cold I am coming off of and had no energy to workout.  I went anyway cause its a commitment to myself and her.  I asked her to take it easy on me today.  Looking at me with her big brown eyes she said yes.  Yea right!  It felt like I worked my ass off! I had no energy and each set was grueling as the last.  For the first time I saw my muscles contract while I was doing push ups.  It was awesome and I looked in the mirror and saw both arms contracted.  I saw my deltoids and bicep and it was such a pretty site!  I hit muscle failer earlier than usual and she said it was cute how my arms where shaking. hahaha  I will see her again next week.  Tomorrow will be legs! Fun, fun, fun.

Neoprene suit

I got my suit in the mail on Friday, it is one of the types that goes up to the bust line.  I tried it on and I could not get it over my rump.  I thought no worries I will still keep it and lose enough weight or inches to get in it.  Well on Sunday I tried again and this time it fits, I think I had it on backwards and that could be the reason why I could not get it on.  Only thing I don’t like about it is the zipper on the side, if I’m not careful it will pinch the skin and that does not feel good.

 Working out today wear the suit felt awkward.  I was doing cardio and I notice I was starting to move around in it.  I sat down to work on my arms and thin it happened.  Sweat started to drip out of my thighs on to the floor.  Wow that was gross, I work on the arms and then went to the cables and finished it there.  This had taught me not to sit down while I am wearing it.  But I do like it, just not the part when I take it off, who needs to see all of the water from your body!  GROSS!

mondays work out

Today was legs and i have decided to do them 2 times a week.  The muscles are coming through and my legs are getting harder.  I like the way its looking, I have order a neoprene suit to wear to sweat off the water in my trouble spots.  It should be here on friday or so, tomorrow is just bi’s and tri’s and cardio.

2 hours of legs

April 25, 2008

Yup I did 2 hours of leg work, what in the hell was I thinking.  All I remember was I just kept going on and on, and lost track of time.  I have learned not to do cardio on leg day.  I get to tired doing legs I did not do abs due to heartburn.  Cardio is gone now on leg day.  I saw my PT on Wednesday,  I was so glad to see her, I was so down the last few days and I needed a pick me up.  She did that and then some.   When my work out schedule is messed up I forget the things I do.  Like Mondays are leg day as in hammies and calves.  But cause my right knee swelled up I moved it to Friday when I do quads and glutes.  This week I felt like a loss soul, thinking over and over what is it I need to do.  Well now I am back on track, with my 2 hours of leg.  They are very tired so now I am going to take a hot bath and just chill for the rest of the day.

ugh let it end already

I had my first zumba class last week and I am still babying the knee.  Afterwards it swell but no pain it was just big and puffy.  I took Friday off, that’s the day I do quads and glutes.  All weekend long I kinda went off my diet for a few days.  I’m not feeling guilty at all, I am doing so well and have not cheated till now.  I think I needed that.  This morning I had such a hard time working out.  Mondays is hammy’s and calves, with cardio.  But my knee is still puffy and so I did bi’s and tri’s.  I was so out of focus I was forgetting my routine.  Today was not any better, it was back and chest, and since everything is so off this week, I felt so not with it.  Wednesday morning I see my trainer and I am hoping she will get me back on track. 

Lately I am having a hard time waking up in the morning, I think I’m over exercising.  I do an hour of muscle work with an hour of cardio.  Soon as I get home I take a hot bath and just chill for the rest of the day no napping.  Maybe I should slow down.
