QUICK UPDATE FOR THE 24TH AND THE 25TH.  i DIDN’T GO TO THE GYM. INSTEAD I POPPED IN ONE OF MY TRUSTY VIDEOS!  LET’S SEE ….. ON WEDNESDAY I DID A DEBBIE SIEBERS WORKOUT WHICH IS BASICLY DOING A MILLION  LUNGES, SQUATS, STANDING CRUNCHES, PLIE’ SQUATS WITH PULSES ADDED ON FOR AN HOUR. THEN WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE DONE YOU GET YOUR TIRED BUTT ON THE FLOOR FOR A THOUSAND SUPERSETS OF LEG KICKBACKS WHILE KNEELING ON ALL FOURS (JUST SOUNDS KINKY :0).

ON WEDNESDAY I DID THE SAME VIDEO BUT I ADDED ON ANOTHER HOUR OF KICKBOXING. NOT ALOT GOING ON. HAD TO GO TO WORK THIS MORNING SO I PROBABLY WON’T GET TO DO A WORKOUT TONIGHT! I AM FEELING TIRED TODAY. *YAWN*

not much going on!

Not much going on in my life right now! still trying to get on track with the workouts! why is it so hard to get back to the routine after being OFF for a week or so. Today,may be a video day due to the gym bill being due!  planned workout is lower body work. lots of lunges supersetted with squats!  I am working out the kinks!  More to come!

edit: when I say video I mean a WORKOUT videos NOT movie videos!

GETTING BACK TO REAL LIFE

IN MY LAST BLOG I WAS AT MY MOTHER’S HOUSE EVACUATING FROM THE STORM.  THE  STORM ACTUALLY HIT HOUSTON AT 3 OR 4 O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING. THE WIND AS BLOWING SO HARD AND KNOCKING  AGANST THE APARTMENT. THE  CABLE WENT FIRST THEN THE POWER.  I FINALLY PUT THE HEADPHONES TO A LITTLE BITTY BATTERY POWERED POCKET RADIO TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO NEWS BROADCASTS TO HEAR ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON.  I COULD TELL THE WIND WAS STRONG BY THE FORCE AGAINST THE WINDOWS.  I HAD TO OPEN THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR TO LET SOME OF THE WIND IN BECOUSE IT HAD GOTTEN SO HOT WHERE I WAS SLEEPING. THE RAIN WAS COMING IN THREW THE CRACK IN THE GLASS BUT I DIDN’T CARE BECOUSE I FELT SO GOOD ON MY SKIN AFTER HOURS OF NOT HAVING ANY AIR COMING IN.  WHEN I WOKE UP IT WAS STILL RAINING BUT THE WIND HAD STOPPED. I HAD TO PUT ON CLOTHES TO GO OUTSIDE AND SEE WHT THE DAMAGE WAS.  THE FIRST THING I SAW AS LITTLE DEAD BIRDS ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE WIND MUST HAVE BLOWN THEM OUT OF THE TREES. POOR LITTLE GUYS.  I GOT TO MY CAR AND LET OUT A SIGH OF RELIEF. NOTHNG WAS ON TOP OF IT AND IT WAS NOT FLOODED OUT! NEXT THING I WANTED TO SEE WAS MY APARTMENT. IT WAS STILL LIKE A GHOST TOWN AT 8 O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING. NOONE WAS OUT BUT THE POLICE. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A CURFEW  FOR THAT MORNING THAT I DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT. WELL …ANYWAY,  I LIVE IN A TREE LINED COMMUNITY.  THERE WAS A LOT OF TREES LAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND ON TOP OF POWER LINES.  IT WAS A MESS! NO ONE  IN THE WHOLE  STATE OF TEXAS HAD POWER! EVEN NOW 5 DAYS LATER ALOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE POWER!  I WAS IN A GAS LINE FOR 2 AND A HALF HOURS. THE LINES FOR ICE, WATER, AND FOOD WRAPPED AROUND BUILDINGS! AT NIGHT THE WHOLE CITY LOOKED DARK AND GLOOMY. LUCKILY THE WEATHER WAS NICE AND BALMY BECOUSE I THINK PEOPLE WOULD HAVE GONE MAD IF IT WAS 90 DEGREES. IT WAS TRULY UNBELIEVEABLE.  HOWEVER, IT SHOWED HOW KIND  OR HOW STUPID ALOT OF PEOPLE. CRISIS LIKE THESE REALLY BRING OUT THE BEST AND THE WORST IN PEOPLE.

FINALLY, MY LIGHTS WAS TURNED BACK ON TUESDAY. THAT WAS A GLORIOUS FEELING TO BE ABLE TO SEE AGAIN. YOU FORGET HOW DEPENDANT YOU ARE ON THINGS LIKE ICE AND THE ABILITY TO FLIP THE LIGHT SWITCH ON AND LIGHTS COMING ON, PUTTING GAS IN YOUR CAR WITHOUT BEING IN A LINE 2 MILES LONG!

Evacuating …… to my Mom’s???

Well i am sitting at my mom’s house becouse of this crazy storm. i really am hoping that it is not as bad as they are saying it is going to be. :( This is really going to mess with my workouts.

just in case i did a home workout. It was one of those kickboxing videos. i love it becouse it gets my heart rate going. I was sweating so hard i could wring sweat out of my sports bra! eewwewww! it was a great workout. I guess i had a lot of stress build up becouse i pretended I was kicking IKE’s a$$! i do feel a bit better. After that I took a shower and packed up as much as I felt i neede, grabbed my cat Boots and we got the heck moving. My mom doesn’t live that far from me, but I live alone and would feel a lot better with someone than by myself.

what in the heck is going on with the weather! There has been too many hurricaines!

I am about to go to bally’s for some cardio before it gets all rainy. So far it has been a beautiful day. I guess it may hit friday or saturday. All I know is that I am tired of all of the hurricaine talk. Gotta run! Be safe.

Oh …. Wednesday and Thursday was lower body and cardio days.

 

REST DAY

MY PLAN WAS TO GO TO THE GYM RIGHT AFTER WORK, BUT BY THE TIME I WAS TO LEAVE WORK I WAS SOOOO TIRED. I KNOW THAT IS AN EXCUSE BUT THAT IS TRULY HOW I FELT AT THE MOMENT. THEREFORE I HAVE NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT. I WENT HOME TOOK A SHOWER, WATCHED TELEVISION AND GOT IN THE BED AND WENT TO SLEEP. IT FELT SO GOOD TO HIT THE SAC. I THINK I FELL ASLEEP LIKE A LOG!

HAS ANYONE EVER GOT MORE ENERGY AFTER WORKING OUT? THAT IS TOTALLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME THE OTHER DAY. I WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS 7 AM TO 7 PM. I USUALLY HAVE MY GYM CLOTHES IN THE CAR OR IN MY GYM BAG READY TO GO AS SOON AS I CLOCK OUT. THE GYM IS ON THE WAY HOME SO I HAVE TO PASS IT ON THE WAY.  I DID 60 MINUTES OF CARDIO AND BY THE TIME I WAS FINISHED I HAD SOOOO MUCH ENERGY. USUALLY I AM IN BED BY 10 OR 11 O’CLOCK. WELL IT WAS WELL AFTER 1:00 AM BEFORE I EVEN GOT A LITTLE BIT SLEEPY.  AND I HAVE TO GET UP AT 5:30 OR 5:45 AT THE LATEST. THE WEIRD THING WAS I STILL HAD ENERGY WHEN I WOKE UP. I BOUNCED OUT OF BED LIKE I HAD 8 HOURS OF SLEEP. WEIRD HUH? IF ANY ONE HAS A COMMENT OR HAS DONE THE SAME THING I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT IT.

WELL I GUESS THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT TODAY……. :p

SHORT TERM PLAN: HIT THE GYM HARD TONIGHT. :)   LONG TERM GOAL IS TO HIT THE GYM FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS. :)

LETS SEE ….. SINCE I LAST BLOGGED, MY FOOD INTAKE HAS BEEN PRETTY GOOD THIS WEEKEND. I DID EAT A HAMBURGER LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. THAT WAS MY CHEAT MEAL.  I DID NOT EAT THE BREAD THOUGH! ONLY THE MEAT AND VEGGIES THAT COME ON THE BURGER. I FELT SO BLOATED THE NEXT DAY I WOKE UP PUTTING ON MY GYM CLOTHES AND HEADED OUT TO THE GYM TO TRY TO WORK IT OFF. I STAYED ON THE ELIPTICAL FOR 60 MINUTES DOING "HILLS".

FRIDAY WAS A UPPER BODY DAY!
TOTAL TIME IN THE GYM WAS 1 HOUR 10 MINUTES.
I STARTED OUT WITH THE HILLS PROGRAM FOR 30 MINUTES. IT FELT GREAT AND I GOT A GOOD SWEAT GOING ON WHILE GETTING MY HEART RATE UP.
IMMEDIATLY AFTER GETTING OFF THE TREADMIL I WENT OVER TO THE FREE WEIGHTS:

SATURDAY- I FELT REALLY LAZY AND DIDN’T REALLY WANT TO MOVE. I STAYED HOME ALL DAY WASHED CLOTHES AND COOKED DINNER. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY IT WAS MY REST DAY. I DID DO RAMP IT UP. I FELT I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER AND HAD MORE UMPPH ABOUT IT BUT I WAS SLUGGISH. I ATE SOME JASMINE RICE WITH DINNER. I WAS HOPEING THAT IT WOULD GIVE ME MORE ENERGY FOR SUNDAY’S WORKOUT.

SUNDAY, I WENT TO THE GYM FOR CARDIO ONLY.
I WANTED TO STILL WORK MY GLUTES EVEN THOUGH I WASN’T LIFTING. I DECIDED TO GET ON THE SKI MACHINE AND WORK IT OUT.
AS SOON AS I GOT STARTED…MY BATTERIES WENT DEAD. THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD HAVE FINISHED MY WORKOUT WITH NO MUSIC!!! Eek I GRABBED MY STUFF (CD PLAYER, WATER, TOWEL,) AND TOOK MYSELF TO TARGET WHICH IS ABOUT A MILE UP FROM THE GYM. I DIDN’T MIND TOO MUCH BECOUSE I REALLY WANTED AN EXCUSE TO BUY ANOTHER CD. I WAS TELLING MYSELF, “IF YOU SEE ANY CD’S ON SALE GET IT”. “MYSELF” DIDN’T ARGUE EITHER. I ENDED UP GETTING THE NEW CD BY MARY J BLIGE. Big Grin (YOU KNOW THE ONE WITH JUST FINE ON IT)! MARY J WILL GET YOU ENERGIZED LET ME TELL YOU! WHEN I GOT BACK I WAS READY TO KICK MY OWN BUTT! Wink AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID!
GREAT CARDIO! I REALLY GOT MY HEART RATE UP AND GOT THAT SWEAT FLOWING! Eek I LOVE IT! Razz

PERSONAL BEST CARDIO

I STARTED DRINKING MY SUPERPUMP 250 WHILE AT WORK AT AROUND 3:00 PM. GOT TO THE GYM LATER THAT EVENING AFTER WORK.  DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM STILL SORE FROM MY TRAINING ON TUESDAY. I REALLY WASNT IN THE MOOD TO LIFT. I ONLY WANTED TO DO CARDIO. I STAYED ON THE SKI MACHINE FOR 1 HOUR. USUALLY I GET OFF AFTER ABOUT 45 MINUTES. IT FELT SOOOO  GOOD. I DIDN’T WANT TO STOP. IT WAS LIKE I WAS RUNNING FROM SOMETHING. OR TO SOMETHING.   WHEN I WANTED TO STOP I WOULDN’T STOP. I HAD A GOOD MOTIVATING CD IN MY CD PLAYER. ( IT THINK IT WAS DANITY KANE)  I FELT LIKE THE ENERGIZER BUNNY. I JUST KEPT GOING, AND GOING, AND GOING………    I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT ON THE AGENDA FOR THIS EVENINGS WORKOUT. I WILL HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT A LITTLE MORE.  I AM STILL SORE  EVERYWHERE. I HAVE TO PIC A SPOT THAT IS NOT HURTING AND PUNISH IT !!!! HMMMMM… MY ABS COULD USE A LITTLE PUNISHING!  MUA-HA-HA-HA ( EVIL LAUGH)!

WE DODGED ANOTHER BULLET. (THANK GOD)
THERE WAS DAMAGE IN LOUISANA BUT NOT AS MUCH AS WAS EXPECTED. SHOOT,,,,IT DIDN’T EVEN RAIN HERE.

I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE GYM ON TUESDAY. I HAD A GREAT WORKOUT. STAYED IN THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR. I FOCUSED ON MY LEGS AND BACK!  I STARTED OUT WITH A LITTLE BIT OF CARDIO. THE STAIRMIL!  WHEW! THAT MACHINE REALLY GETS YOUR HEART PUMPIN.  I THINK THAT IS GOING TO BE ONE THAT I AM GOING TO HAVE TO GET ON THAT ONE MORE OFTEN.  10 MINUTES WAS A CHALLENGE!   ONCE I FINISHED THAT HELL I GOT OFF OF THAT AND HEADED TO THE LEG PRESS MACHINE TO BUST OUT 3 SETS AT 170 LBS. I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE SEAT POSITIONS TO SEE WHICH ONE REALLY HIT THE  GLUTE AREA THAT I WANTED. I WAS REALLY FEELING IT IN THE GLUTOUS MEDIUS   Eek
