Damn Hurricane!

There is a hurricane brewing in the gulf headed straight toward Texas!  Well, either Lousiana or Texas!  It is totally irritating.  It happens to be coming right before payday! Great! I am going to stay right here. I live up in Spring so hopefully there will not be too much rain or wind.  No workouts this weekend becouse i have been working. Monday is a new month. Hopefully this storm won’t be too bad and I can continue with life. On the other hand if I do have to stay in and if the electricity is still on I can always pop in a DVD and do a home workout. Lord knows I have plenty of those at home.  Anyway, not much to report today.

First getting to the gym I hopped on the treadmil for some high intensity interval training. My heart rate got up to about 180 bpm. Feeling great after I got done. Imediatly I went to the free weight station and knocked out a few sets of dumbbell work. 2 of my planned exersises I didn’t to do becouse for some reason the guys LOVE to hang out at the machine that that has the rope extension on it. I think it is called a cross trainer (or something like that)
This is how it went:

Altern. dumbbell curl
12 reps/15 lbs/ 2 sets

E-Z bar curls

incline hammer curl 12 reps/ 15 lbs/ 2 sets

dumbbell kickbacks-12 lbs/ 10 reps / 8 lbs / 15 reps

E-Z bar curl - (bar weight) 12 reps/ 2 sets

dumbbell lateral raises- 8 lbs 20 reps

hanging side raises-
25 reps/ 2 sets

hanging knee raises- 20 reps

Creating a habit.

i am really feeling my lower body workout today! especially in the ADDUCTORS!   Yowch!!!!!  i feel good though. Can’ t wait to go tonight. Got my bags packed and ready to go right after work. I am going to do this slow and steady. i know from past experience not to do too much to quickly. It is so easy to derail myself when I do that! I think tonight I will do upper body. i want to work my  shoulders and delts today. Not to sure what exactly i am going to do yet.  I want to get my journal and decide what I am going to do before I even get to the gym so i can go in and knock it out really quick and get home before  9:00 pm.  Once I get going and get consistant with the workouts  it will become a habit. One that i can not break.

Back at it again!

I WENT TO THE GYM. I HAD NOT BEEN IN LIKE FOR-EVAH! Roll Eyes I KEPT MAKING EXCUSES TO WHY I COULDN’T GO. FOR THIS REASON OR THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH. WELL I GOT MY LITTLE FLUFFY SELF UP AND WENT. I FELT GOOD GOING. I CONCENTRATED ON MY LEGS SINCE I AM DOING SLIM IN 6. IT IS MOSTLY SQUATS AND LUNGES. LET ME THINK OF WHAT I DID. Confused
I DECIDED NOT TO GO TO HEAVY SINCE I HAD NOT BEEN DOING MUCH IN THE WAY OF WEIGHTS. I REALLY DIDN’T WANT TO GET TOO SORE.

1. ADDUCTORS 50 LBS/12 REPS/3 SETS
2. ABDUCTORS 50 LBS/12 REPS/3 SETS
3. BUTT BLASTERS 50 LBS 20 REPS/ 2 SETS
4. LYING LEG EXTENSIONS 50 LBS/ 25 REPS/ 2 SETS
5. SEATED LEG EXTENSIONS 50 LBS 12 REPS/ 3 SETS

SHORT AND SWEET!
NOT TOO SORE TODAY. A LITTLE BIT IN THE BUTT AREA AND INNER THIGH AREA! WHEW!

NEXT TIME I AM GOING TO WORK THE UPPER BODY.
GOTTA COME UP WITH A ROUTINE FOR THAT.
MIXING IT UP A BIT TO SEE HOW MY BODY RESPONDS TO IT.
I AM STARTING A NO ALCOHOL CHALLENGE TODAY.
DAY 1 NO WINE CHALLENGE!
IF YOU HAVE BEEN LURKING HERE LONG ENOUGH YOU MAY KNOW THAT I LOVE LOVE MY WINE. THAT IS MY WAY OF RELAXING. TO HAVE A NICE GLASS OF ZINFENDEL IS MY IDEA OF AAAAAHHHHHH!
WELL…. ALCOHOL IS NOT PART OF A CLEAN EATING DIET! DEBBIE SIEBERS HERSELF APPROACHED ME WITH THE IDEA OF THE CHALLENGE. I CAN NOT TURN DOWN A CHALLENGE! THAT IS LIKE TELLING ME I DOUBLE DOG DARE YA! SO THAT MEANS NO ALCOHOL FOR THE NEXT 14 DAYS.
