Super Charge!!!!!

I went to the vitamin shop to check out some supps that will help me push a little harder in the gym. I went looking  for the superpump250, but ended up getting the Super Charge. I really can’t tell what is up with it. I do feel like I kick butt with my workout but is it me or is it the supp???  I have been doing the CLA, protein and the super charge.

On another note I did 195# on the leg press the other day! I think I could have pressed 200# but I have never done that kind of weight so I didn’t want to press my luck. Pretty good for a 5 foot 1 inch woman with no lifting experience :) I don’t have my journal with me but I think I did it for 12 reps and then did drop sets for the rest.

Five GLORIOUS days in the gym. Took off for Thursday and Sunday. Hopefully tonight I will get in some cardio. It looks like rain. I just may pop in one of my workout DVD’s and lift to it. P90X is my non gym day work outs.

I love those workouts. They may be DVD but they are TOUGH!

August 21 2007. Tuesday night!

I had the best cardio session EVAH!!

THE PROCOR MACHINE WAS ON FIRE LAST NIGHT!!! i DRANK 1/2 OF ONE OF THOSE REDLINE DRINKS. IT DIDN’T MAKE ME FEEL ANY DIFFERENT BUT I COULD HAVE STAYED ON THAT THING ALL NIGHT LONG. Eek
I WAS A LITTLE AMAZED AT MYSELF TO SAY THE LEAST.
SINCE I GO TO THE GYM AFTER WORK IT IS PRETTY CROWDED AT AROUND THAT TIME SO IT IS HARD TO GET ON THE WEIGHTS BECOUSE ALL OF THE GUYS ARE ON IT. SO I HAVE TO THINK OF A WAY TO GET MY CARDIO IN AS WELL AS MY WEIGHTS. I WALKED BACK IN THAT DIRECTION BUT I WAS INTIMIDATED BY ALL OF THE JOCKS IN THE BACK. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR ME TO GET COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO WALK AROUND WITH CONFIDENCE AND NOT FEELING LIKE A DUMMY.
I WISH I HAS A FRIEND WHO FELT THE SAME WAY I FEEL ABOUT WEIGHTS AND LIFTING. THEN WE COULD CHALLENG EACH OTHER TO GET STRONGER AND STRONGER!

TONIGHT I WILL DO THE SAME THING TRYING TO WORK UP TO 60 MINUTES OF CARDIO.
FELT SUPER GOOD AFTERWARD. NO WINE. NO HEAVY EATING AFTER WORKOUT.

I HAD ONE SLIP UP Mad I ATE REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS LAST NIGHT BEFORE BED. Red Face

My first day with my trainer. August 17th. Friday

I made the mistake of telling him that I was a little advanced becouse I workout at home and the gym. "Are you sure", he asked. "Yeah, I have been doing this since December", I said.
"Ok, well I am going to put you on the treadmil for about 5 minutes ok", he said.
"Ok, just don’t kill me", I said with a silly grin.
So he showed me some leg exersises using no weights to see how I could handle it. Lets just say that I never did get to the part where I would be using weights. Those balancing lunges and donkey kicks and squating jumps on a stepper. Plus ab moves on the exersise ball. afterwards I was sweating bullets. He was laughing at me (in a nice way!!)asking me do I sweat like that all the time. I said He– yeah. I drink a lot of water! LOL!! ( I do really!) I
I am SO sore today. My legs are crying!! I was going to go to the gym on Saturday but I couldn’t hardly walk let alone get on a treadmill or eliptical. So I stayed home and put ben gay on my legs. Luckily, I work today so no gym tonight either. I might but in a P90X CD depending on how I feel when I get off work. By Monday I should be back to my old self ready to push play. I wish I had enough money to hire him as my trainer. He is alittle out of my price range but I know he is just what I need to whip my but into shape.

Instead of doing Back and Biceps I did Chest and shoulders. My arms and chest are so sore right now. I am feeling it this morning. Not a bad pain but a good one that says " keep it up". Reading the blogs on this forum helps out alot in knowing what to do when I get to the gym. I seem to be able to flow thru the gym like I know what the heck I am doing. This is what I did:

2 sets/ 20 reps/60 lbs

Shoulder Press
10 reps/ 60 lbs/ 1 set
drop set- 10 reps/ 50 lbs/ 1 set

Straight Leg hanging leg raise
2 sets/10 reps each

Bent leg Hanging leg raise
3 sets/ 10 reps each

Not bad but I could do a little more. I think after the cardio I was just spent and did not have that much energy left. I will try to do the weight training first then the cardio to see how I feel after that.  Other than that I feel great about what I did. I want to increase my sets, and in time I would like to increase my poundage by 5 or 10 pounds. My goal is to get lean not bulky. My upper body will bulk up pretty quickly. I think I should keep my weight on the low side and my reps high. If there is anyone out there reading this. What is your opinion?

Tonight I am working my back and biceps with some cardio.

I was thinking that I would try a treadmil workout that will go something like this:

5 minutes warm-up @ 3.7 MPH/ 5.5% incline

3 minutes @ 5.5 MPH / 1.5% incline

2 minutes@ 4.0 MPH/ 1.5% incline

3 minutes @ 6.0 MPH/ 1.5%incline

2 minutes @ 4.0 MPH/ 1.5% incline

1.5 minutes @ 6.2 MPH/ 1.5% incline

1.5 minutes @ 6.2 MPH / 1.5% incline

2 minutes cooldown 3.5 MPH / 0% incline

I am not much of a runner so this will be challenging. I know I will be sweating balls afterward.

I am working right now so it is so hard to get my but into the gym after working 12 hours. I am going to push myself to do it. After I leave the gym I always feel better than I did before I got there. I just don’t have the energy to push it to the limit.

1. Back and bicep workout:

5.   Dumbbell rows

6.  Barbell curls

7.  Hammer curls

8. Concentration Curls

I will post my weights, reps, and sets tomorrow.

I was lurking on the forum pages and got these workout ideas from some of the ladies there.

All of this research on workouts and clean eating makes me think of how far can I go with this. Reading how much everyone really gets into fitness makes me wonder how far I will push my body to the limit. My original goal was to get fit and lose weight. Now I am toying with idea of competition and training for figure. Who knows how far I will go with this goal of mine. I want to be ripped and cut but I have no idea how to go about doing it.

Joined my gym

I joined Bally’s gym. Worked out on Saturday afternoon. Stayed there for 1 hour and 45 minutes total. 45 minutes cardio - running and walking.  Weight training: leg day.

Leg press- 75lbs/ 25 reps x 3 sets.

leg curl- 60 lbs/ 20 reps x 3 sets

Le Butt Blaster 35 lbs/ 20 reps each leg

Leg Adduction- 60 lbs/ 25 reps each leg

Leg Abduction- 60 lbs/ 25 reps each leg

I had planned to do some ab work but I got tired by the end of the weight training.

My eating has been good. Made a pot of cabbage soup. I will be eating that for the next week, along with fruit and chicken on somedays.

If someone is out there reading this blog. I need some advice on workouts. I am at a plateau right now. My weight has pretty much stopped for the moment. I would like to do more in the gym but I don’t know what to do. If anyone has pointers or tips I would appreciate it.

GETTING INTO THE GROOVE OF WORKING OUT IS HARD

I am getting into the groove of working out everyday again. Boy, is it hard to to after only a week or two. For the next 4 weeks I am going to train diligently to see what kind of progress will be made. I subbed Plyo for core syner. Did well until I got to monster truck tires. Started getting light-headed. For the first time really doing it, I am proud of myself. I will do better next time.
Went to Bally’s and did 30 minutes on the treadmil and 10-15 minutes on eliptical. About 10-15 minuter weight training. I think I am going to go with Bally’s as my gym. They gave me a great deal on monthly payments.

I noticed that I have been woofing my food down lately. My lil sis mentioned that I had fixed my plate after I fixed hers and was done in 5 minutes. Since I have started working out it takes me 2 seconds to finish my meal. Weird!!!
Have not been drinking enough water and not eating enough food. Will work on that in the future.
