New Scale . . . New Cruel Twist of Fate

In a truly inspiring bit of irony . . . I got a new bodyfat scale and it registers me at 25% and not the 23% that my friend’s scale showed.  So, I want to double check it tomorrow but I may be updating my goals to reset my current state.  Make no mistake–I am still going to hit 15% by June 1st, but it looks like I might have farther to go than I thought when I joined the other day. 

My wife would tell me that it’s just "more of me to love."  I’ll take it as another challenge to meet . . . more of me to lose!

Getting Back to It

So far, so good . . . work has been nuts with year/quarter end activities.  But I’m 2 for 2 on workouts since putting myself up for public ridicule here (there’s something very motivating in posting pics of yourself and seeing how amazing everyone else seems to look).  Did a great total body workout Friday night and an hour of cardio today.  Will do some light cardio again tomorrow and get back to my more traditional splits starting Monday morning. 

If anyone has suggestions on a good 3 or 4 day split, I’d love to hear it.  I tend to build/keep muscle pretty easily . . . for good or bad, I’ve always been sort of "thick."  My problem is trying to get lean.  So I am really focusing on trying to burn off this awful midsection tubbery that I’ve crafted this year.  Would welcome any suggestions on best ways to set up a routine with the fat loss element as a focus.

Anyway–I’ve got a loooooong way to go, but I guess I can’t get there without taking that first step (followed by the second, third, etc).  Will try to keep on it and am sure the desired results will come!
