Bench Pressed a CLEAN 275lbs single rep again

a) Accomplished another 275lb clean bench press today (single rep)

b) Also topped that off with a 245lb clean incline bench press (single rep)

c) Then 20 mins of Arc Trainer (300 calories in total)

  • ok….
  • After a VERY bad diet day yesterday today I woke up expecting a regular run of the mill day at the gym.
  • Instead I was able to life 275 lbs on the Barbell Bench for a full clean rep
  • NEVER in my life did I EVER think I would be able to do that.
  • Now I have.
  • Today I am going to sit on this “perch” of a high and enjoy the taste
  • It feels good to know that VARIETY and NOT over-training pays off
  • Thank you to my Fiance Susie for being my inspiration to attain balance in my life to be able to achieve this accomplishment. I love her beyond words.
  • Also a “shout out” goes to God for being a center in my life (I am not a religious fanatic–don’t even go to church) and placing people and building surroundings that allows me to excel.
  • Also a special thanks to BB.com for inspiring me each and every day.

Not a good day

Today was NOT a good day for the diet. Was not proud of my performance eating the CRAP that I did. Even the best of us have days. Today was mine. I seek forgiveness from all the BB folks I let down. -S

  • Today….on 4.5 hours of sleep……265lbs Barbell Bench Press!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • That is a LIFE PR!
  • God Bless Me!
  • It goes to show working out less CAN make you stronger
  • I am transitioning from 6 days a week to 4-5 a week
  • Try it!!!!

When something is working well……just go with it!

  • Been on a specific regiment for the past 50 days. Seems to be working EXTREMELY well.
  • I have…changed
    • Supplements (Nitro Core 24 whey for am and dinner with grapenuts cereal–yummy!)
    • Workout style (heavy/light, lots of pull ups)
    • Water intake (low)
    • At a minimum doing leg workouts at least 1x a week if not twice a week when I can
  • This morning I just didn’t want to stop working out. Feeling great
  • About to take the kids on a vacation up to Chicago to see the city and then maybe end at 6 Flags Great Americas. Trip will be about 4 days-ish. Will play it by ear based on the kids attitudes

I am feeling great at 40. Hair is falling out a ton and all….contemplating shaving it all off…..but at least I look and feel better than 90% of all 40 year olds. Proud of my dedication and commitment to staying fit. Also contemplating giving the girlfriend a ring….VERY soon.  Ready to take that step and re-start my life after my 2+ year divorce. You never know when it all will be taken away. I want what I have!!!!!!!!!!!!! - S
