Try this: instead of trying to avoid the cure (carbs &amp; sugar), eliminate the cause (stress). Its not the food - its the life around it. Focus harder there on what is &amp; isn't absolutely necessary and worthy of your time, heart, passion &amp; energy.

Also, keep in mind that there are BILLIONS of people all over this earth that would easily give a decade of their lives for what many of us call "problems".

You are not alone. Proper nutrition is an issue with many bodybuilders whether beginning or even on the highest level. The problem is our bodies have been conditioned to want certain foods that we like bbut know are not good for us. We tell ourselves that one cookie won't hurt or 5 or 6 potato chips won't kill me, but what happens is that our body wants more than that one or the 5 or 6. Long story short, what you may want to do is find nutritious foods that you like to eat and plan out about 5 or six small meals a day and drink plenty of water. That way you won't feel hungry as the day goes through and you won't binge when you do get a meal. Don't stress over planning out 5 full meals. a cup of pineapples can count as a meal. Just try that but remember that the main thing you need is just to build up some self-discipline while you are in the kitchen alone or when you see that burger add on TV. Constantly remind yourself of what you are trying to accomplish. That usually shakes me out of my temptations to stray. Good luck hon...i'll be checking in on you.

Surround yourself with people who want the same things you do. Make yourself the example and the motivator. I am trying desperately to find like minded individuals so that I can stay on track. When I talk to the average person they always tell me I am fine the way I am. I need to be in the company of super people who will tell me the truth.

I seek a higher self, so do you.

You are not alone. I have been in a rut for about 3 weeks now. A ton of distractions, and bottom line is I am just not getting it done. I did find Tosca Reno's "eating clean" book a good reenforcement to some things I'd read before. You might want to give some of those concepts a try.

I wish you luck in your search.
