Stressful week, weight’s still the same, had TWO bad eating days…

I just finished administering the final exam for the human physiology lab that I’m teaching and finally realized how stressful it could be as an instructor.  Over the course of the semester, I learned to like my students; they were awesome kids.  I later realized that some of them were on the brink of failing the lecture portion of their class that constitutes 75% of their overall grade.  The college where I work is not cheap ($935/unit) and my class alone costs $3000.  Anyway, while grading the tests, I tried to be as generous as possible but unfortunately, some of these kids are going to get kicked out of the college and some will have to retake the class.  I’ve had to take classes over and lemme tell you,….it’s no bueno.  It just breaks my heart.  To make things worse, my dumb ass put too many essay questions on the exam so it took me over 3 days to correct 50-some exams.  I was supposed to turn the grades in by Friday but didn’t have them done until about 8pm last nite!!  So I missed my ‘legs’ day and 1 cardio day.  Last night after I finished submitting the grades, I went out and celebrated with a bleu cheese turkey burger, seasoned fries, and about 40 ounces of  microbrewery stout.  (good times!)  And might I mention the full size bag of cheetos I finished on Friday while stressing out about turning the grades in on time.

So,… after two days of eating bad, I still weigh the same.  I plan on eating extra clean (not only clean but with a specific caloric goal: 1800kcal-2000kcal/day) for the next two weeks.  It won’t be easy, but I’m sure I can do it.

I’ll tell you how it goes.

Dave, sorry to hear about the stressful week. :( It’s good that youhave so much compassion and empathy for the kids who did poorly in your class! But as it was a part of your journey, it’ll also be part of theirs to experience and learn from. :) Great job on submitting the rest of the grades - what a huge relief that must be! :) Your plan for the next two weeks sounds solid. I can’t wait to hear how you nail it!
