Happy friday…

2880855448_cd12d05131.jpgFriday again.. boy time just flys by around here. A little stressed with school to many essays to write. My writing is not up to par. Think our english skills taught back in the olden days are not equal compared to what they are learning now. Maybe i just wasnt paying attention as well.

Well today is my workout with my personal trainer. So we do shoulders/ back/ biceps. I managed to buy some spinn shoes that have the cleats on them over the weekend. Gotta get the equipment for my new bike. As well got a bike helmet…mine is old.  So i wore my new shoes in Ride class… was hard to click on but other wise about the same didnt notice much different in the workout. Also did some stretching and some abs. In the evening after the man came home we went and ran the look out but i only ran about 10k than i walked the rest. Got tired of my nose running. Think it was the rainy weather we had yesterday. Tuesday took the day off as i had late classes and wednesday afternoon did a spinn class as well. So i want to get into the gym more this weekend and maybe after my meeting might go do a hot yoga session. Gotta plan these things ahead of time other wise not much will happen. So i loved the new contest sounds wonderful. The points for running a half dont equal to the one running 5ks so can we count them as 4-5ks and make more points. LOL just giving you guys a hardtime. Well here is my picture on sundays peak to beak race. iT WAS APPARANTLY 18KS….my time was 2h 12. It was a lot of hills at the very end…

Busy weekend with the man…and his life.

Went to see how things are at the other halfs house hold. Boy i was busy but very much enjoyed every minute of it.

I think the more time we spend together the more we know we are totally in sync. Yes the kids are ok with me even his ex thinks i am ok as she sat with us watching the boys play soccer. It is nice to know the ex wife thinks i am ok. Good feeling as i would like to start things off on a right note..

Well i did group ride and then did hot yoga friday evening so was pretty beat that night. Hot yoga is so tough but i believe so good for you for stretching…90 minutes of stretch and relax…will try and do it at least every 2 weeks as i quite enjoy the challenge.

On saturday went for a bike ride just to get our race packets for sundays race and oranges and bought my own helmet for the bike…which i will put a delay on purchasing till after christmas as i decided to buy ski passes instead for my kids for the winter.. Cant ride a bike all winter anyways so my my next bursary will use some money for that if i receive one at Xmas.

Bought some new shoes for spinn class which i will hopefully try out soon..hopefully tomorrow morning and see how i like them. So some accesories are slowly being bought for the bike..Have been doing a bit more looking around at the different bikes. Still like my pink bike in Penticton..see if it is still around in a few months.

My 17k run was pretty tough with a down hill course to start then flat through kelowna, across the bridge and then some grunting climbs through a park into an uphill road along the lake. We ran to a winery which really proceeded to be uphill all the way.. Beautiful views along the whole run. Not to fair to see them all partying up at the top while you where at the bottom. My time was not all that great but made it there with no music and running not to badly really for never having ran that far. My legs are not to bad today as well. Calves a little sore. Just like pixi up and off for a bike ride today in the trails borrowing my mans sons mountain bike. I love it and have borrowed it a few times now. Want me a nice mountain bike as well…not to greedy eh/…

Well i spend so much time with him that it is tough to go from all weekend to not seeing him for a few days but i guess my homework has to get done somehow..

I also am keeping my personal trainer for working out once a week she absolutely does a good one hour workout what ever part i choose to do that doesnt hurt at the time i am working out. We did a great bicep/ chest and shoulder workout on thurseday then managed to do a group power workout as well. So these photos and measurement are from last thurseday. Lost a whole lb…not sure where as my measurements are up a bit…but what ever.

Not to worried..Did eat pizza 2 slices AFTER  the 2 hr 12 minute run.. but i guess i burned it off running so all in all i am happy and still so  much in love…..my feet hasnt come down yet… i know you guys get tired of listening to this but i tell yah life is so good for me…so i cant keep this feeling inside me…hope you guys are well….

Well off to the gym to do a greoup ride class and a group power before diving into my pile of homework. No kids tonight so i can dilly dally at the gym all i want. So i am excited. Hate the feeling of having to rush. Suppose to be a beautiful weekend. Yeah i am doing my run on Sunday. As well spending the weekend out there getting to know his nice family. Ok his 2 boys. New concept for me so a little stressed as of course i would like them to like me. Very helpful in a relationship.

Otherwise just going to enjoy the peace and quiet of not having to run around in getting housework and lunches done. Maybe catch up on all my readings…Still plugging away at the gym. Yesterday did a spinn class. Classes ended to late to do much more. Hope you guys are all well…Bring on the new challenge…

Ok that was not suppose to post AS I WAS NOT FINISHED BLOGGING. Oh well. Think i had a good week of working out. Monday after school. I went for a long beautiful bike ride in the park in kelowna. Which is closer to where i go to school than coming home. So i stayed with the man overnight. It was such a nice break i dont know why i dont do it more often. It was a great day sunny. We decided to so the stairs thereafter which is about a 10 min jog from his house.Well let me tell you the work out from running these stairs was amazing. There called stairway to heaven. They i believe have 7 sets of them and we did them 6-7 times up and down. Then the man made me amazing chicken and rice. His special recipe while i had a shower. Boy that was a good date….

The next day i could only do a spinn class and also did a group power class. My calves were not so impressed. Well it is decision time about having another set of personal trainers appointments. Next week is my final one. On thurseday i worked with her and oh my god my triceps and chest were put through a challenging workout. So by friday my calves still hurt. Managed to do another spinn class and some abs. Yesterday i decided to try a free hot yoga class with a friend who always goes. This is in the next town though in kelowna. Well that is some little tough class. She found it quite easy. I really loved it and enjoyed it a lot.Hmm how to fit this into the program. So drop in rate for this is 10 dollars as a student. So we will see if i can squeeze it in my program perhaps a couple times a month. My body is sore this morning. As well pulled out the painting equipment and am trying to put a coat of paint on the walls for my office so i can move this laptop off the kitchen table and the books out of my closet so i can put my clothes away decently. Boy i can hardly wait for having this done. It looks like where constantly moving things around.

Since i moved my middle child downstairs i have been taking stuff up and down the stairs. As well trying to toss things out and give old clothes and toys away to the salavation army. So that has prevented me from blogging much here. Sorry will check out my friends see how their week has gone. Beautiful sunny day here.. looking froward to a new challenge sincethe last onedidnt go so well for me. Have a happy sunny sunday y’alll…

Well suppose to be nice all week end and of course it will be as i am working nights. Will go do a spinn class and then have a PT session with my trainer a few hours later. What to workout that is not sore. hmmm. Did spinn and group power yesterday. Need to get back on a regular eating routine here soon. So a new contest i am looing forward to as i think i didnt do well in the last one. Holidays get in the way of those contests.

These will be my last night shifts until christmas break i hope. As i am going to try to stay on a regular day schedule. Much easier on the body. Dont really know what to expect from my school work for the last year in the nursing program will be interesting. I still have my cold lingering around. My youngest still has it. They are off to their dads house till wednesday and then for this month we will try a week on and a week off and see how that goes. My youngest is in grade seven. The photos you see are of my neices. They are my little sisters kids. They are geourgeous blondies with blue eyes. 3 years old. she has a pile of energy because holy cow she needs it. She is also training for a marathon in new york, set for november. She is my younger taller athletic sister. Not sure how i wound up being the short one in the pac of 3 girls.

My oldest sister lives in australia. She has lived there for a while. So one day i will do ironman Australia after Canada. Why not set your goals high. I would love you to come do ironman canada anytime frogprincess72. Your always welcome. Come here and i will go there. Or meet me for the half ironman next year???? before then???

Sometimes its to long without seeing them, but this year my two oldest have classes across the street from my house so if i am home at 4sh i tend to see them as well. Well i better get out of my pjs now and into my gym clothes i see the sun trying to peakout which is always nice. Hope you guys have a good weekend. Me i will be sleeping in the daytime…..sigh…

Back at it…

Today was spinn in the morning and weights in the afternoon with my personal trainer. Yes, man my arms are sore we ran the rack doing bicep curls and hammers. Also did a back routine. Yep can feel it now. Yesterday did a spinn class and group power class.

Kids first day back at school mind you only a half day. Tomorrow full day. My shopping for new school gear is expensive.

I havent even finished up for the 2 youngest yet. Did buy myself some new running shoes..ok two pairs. Mine are getting worn out. The bounce is gone for running. Cant risk injury.

Was talking to a lady that was my first motivator back in 1999.She was the one that started me and got me hooked on this cardio and weight craze. she was diagnosed with bowel cancer and survived and is cancer free. She wanted to do a figure comp but states she cant because of her lymph edema. She would be unable to deplete the water she states. She is back to teaching and had undergone radiation and is still in excellent shape. She impresses me. She was wondering what to do next as she always needs a goal to keep her motivated. She also is in her 50’s. I told her about my ironman weekend. How stoked i am about starting to train for doing triathlons. I told her they have training and fundraising for iron man as well through cops for cancer. She was so excited by the end of our conversation. I told her next year we should split up a half ironman in Osoyoos and find another person to do the swim leg of it. So we will see. Think it gave her such a good thing to think about. I also gave her a t-shirt. I always buy her small treats when i go on vacation. She is so much one of my idols in the fitness world. She also menetioned she would be selling her bike. She has a road bike she has only used a few times before she got sick. Her son is building her one.

My workout today with the personal trainer made me have such a hardtime thinking of letting her go as well. So much to think about….

I am going to try and upload a few photos and see if it will work..never had yet. Sigh….always a first time….

wow i havent posted since Aug 18th

There is no way i could keep up on writing my workouts i have done since that time. I have been good up until my holidays. Then i was in beautiful penticton for the Canada Ironman number 26.

All i can say is it was simply amazing. My holiday with my man was out of this world. It was a blast and i think i caught a bit of his craze and fever in why he likes to do iron man. My man is amazing.

He is the best thing in this world that has happened for me. The more i get to know him the more i fall in love with him. He is not your average type A personality but one that is so easy going. Ok im sure you get tired of listening to me go on about him.

I worked so many shift before my vacation 9 to be exact bouncing from one day to a night and back to days. I dont recommend it a whole lot.All for some spending money. We rented a 30 foot camper with some supplies in there for 5 nights. Our first night we spent in a small camper with my little sister and hubby and triplet girls. They are so beautiful and 3 years old. Well that was so nice to see them. When we arrived to their campground they were sleeping. We started the vacation by going to a pre iron man dinner and ended it with a post ironman dinner. The before was quite interesting. We met some of the people that had lost so much weight while training. One gentleman lost over 100lbs with his training and the girl close behind him with over 75lbs.Not all in one training of ironman. Leading up to this ironman. Incredible the age group varied so much of course. Lots in the 30 to 40 age group. The youngest was 2 kids age 18, one boy and one girl.

The boy was asked how come he did it. He said he did it as his whole family was involved and when they asked his what he did last year. He said he baby sat all the neices and nephews …lol reason enough to do iron man, much easier. lol

I loved the atmosphere of the whole weekend. Before this weekend i thought there was no way i could do iron man. After this weekend I was so astonished by the participants size an shapes and ages. I came out of it with i can do it and i want to do it. At least once in my life i will do it. The amazing effort of madonna breuder at 2 minutes after minute confirmed my effort that if she and another 75 year old male could do it then i would try it as well. So like pixis statement "I want my own bike " LOL. OK PERHAPS NOT THE SAME KIND, but still  i spotted a pretty pink bike. mmm price tag of 2,400. humming and hawwing on it. Will look at the bike shops in town here over the next couple of weeks.

A little insert about madonna. She had my heart in my throat and my whole hearted compassion and could see the love she had for this sport simply amazing."Since that time, she has raced in nearly every Ford Ironman World Championship, as well as 17 Ironman Canada Triathlons. In 2005 she became the first female age 75 or older to ever complete an Ironman distance race. Last year’s World Championship may have been her most epic finish. With less than one minute to the 17-hour cut-off, Sister Madonna Buder crossed the finish line (16:59:03) and became the oldest female finisher in the most grueling of all endurance events – at the age of 76!
So i figure if the older population can do this then iwill give it a whirl and start out slowly. I hear it is one way to drop a lot of weight as well. I am also entered in a half marathon and an 18 k peak to beak nice little hill run ending at a winery little challenge oh my god better get going on doing longer distances coming up. Last night i ran the look out and felt good running it all the way. Was a great little run. I beleive it is only between 12k to 14k

So i must increase the milage before end of september as well try and add some more kal lake park hill runs in there. No pressure felt. LOL

Also there are 3 concerts i am so looking forward to so i am enjoying my free time for sure. I have next weekend of working 2 more night shifts then i am done work for a bit as school starts the following week. For some reason lucked out with an extra week off. This week i am doing some more spinn classes and doing 2 session with my personal trainer. I have picked up a bit of a cold so i was not able to do my last night shift. I am going to try to get on your sites and see how all you guys have made out in your babys got back contest. I dont think my working and holidays helped me any but i am so stoked to keep at it now. Will let you guys know when i have my pretty little pink bike.

PS sorry no bikini photos it poured rain towards the end of the day..sigh it rained and rained.

Rory did well not his personal best but he did it in 15 hrs 1:55 which was the 2 minute photo shoot he endured with mysister taking photos of us. He is so good though and i am proud of him no matter what time he had.

PSS hi ex did not finish and dropped out at the bike part..it was to cold on the swim part apparantly. HMMM

I thought a true ironman never quit..She was told to perhaps do it on the odd years.
