Still trying to find that “happy place”

Quite an eye opener……I weighted 179 this AM when I woke up, my original goal was 185 then when I made the goal, I revised it to 180.  Now, that I have gotten to 179, I still have a lot of fat on my waist.  I will continue cutting to 173!

I cant beleive I have this much weight to loose.  Talk about being in denial for years and years.  I beleive most of the lost weight has come from changing my eating habits.  Additionally I have a LOT more energy.  Again, talk about being in denial, I though I ate pretty healthy, before; Now  I cant beleive my diet was that bad.  I still REALLY crave chocolate, however!

When I started using BB.com it was to "track progress" and "get to a healthy weight", now I have to admit to myself I am actually trying to get a cut physique for 2008.   I am cutting until Oct 1st, then I will change the workouts to put on muscle mass.  In spring I will again cut for a summer body.

I am thinking of getting a real body composition done, I have been using the elec-resistance "guess" from my bathroom scale, but I want to be more precise.

This has really become addicting

This is the third week of cutting.  I have dropped from 193 to 181!  I still dont see much of a difference between weeks but at least the weight is dropping.  Currently I am working out on a very exposed, VERY hot concrete slab (no kidding I measured the air temp on the slab temp at 131 !) So I have also been dring 4 - 5 L of water a day 

I have changed my diet to 5 meals with very high protien, essential fats and controlling the carbs. Kinda a pain to fix all those meals in advance, but I did notice I have a LOT more energy during the day.

 I also changed my lifting from 80% max lifting to 50% with much higher reps.  (I am attempting to maintain the muscle mass I have while cutting weight)  I am not sure if this stategy is working, I may be fighting myself…..any opinions?  Or options on how to loose BF?

For cardio I do 2x 20min per day.  First thing in the morning and after work.

 

It would be nice to see more results, but the stomach fat is pretty stubborn. 

1st time trying to cut

This is my first blog entry ever……
I have been cutting weight for 10 days and to my suprise I have actually lost 4 LBS. My original goal was to loose a total of 6 to 185. I dont see any difference in the mirror so I am going to keep cutting to 180 or 175 …. maybe I will look like I have lost weight then.

Any suggestions? I have been just eating clean and on schedule …. I dont drink caffine so I am shying away from any pills.
