I believe this lead to my shrinkage prior the triathlon. I have been doing cardio every time I weight train and my weight has dropped only a few pounds. Granted I am only doing about half the cardio, compared to what I was doing just prior to the race, but this is the reason for the early training. Get the body used to doing 30 to 40 minutes 4 days a week, and the body will not be quite as shocked when the increase comes. Oh by the way, did I mention I revolutionized training in this process. Lifting while riding the stationary bike, yes that is right. I have a road bike trainer, and the bike nestled into the dip station with a board over the two handles, loaded with weights.
