So I am still at it. Almost to six months of training. I feel like I am making decent progress. I am able to put more weight on the bars and getting some good development. I have a new daughter, she is two months old now, I was worried that I wouldn’t get enough sleep when she was born but that has worked out fine.
I did six weeks of HIIT workouts, aka the Tabata workout. That worked well for me I was trying to cut weight and I went from 199lbs to 178 lbs, and I seemed to maintain muscle while at it. Now I have been working out with heavier weights doing pyramids with 3-4 sets of 4-12 reps. I am not sure what type of work out I will do next. I am thinking about doing a 5×5 or just concentrating on compound heavy lifts. I am still trying to figure out what and how much to eat. I want to try to put on some size but I don’t want to over do it and add a lot of fat to my body. I am back to about 185 lbs now.
The main thing for me now is to keep at training and not get hurt. My lower back doesn’t bother me like it was so I am not wasting money at the chiropractor’s office any more. My left shoulder is still hurting but it mainly bothers me when I am sleeping. I don’t know what I will do to fix that. I don’t want to go to the doctor because I am sure he will tell me lay off the weights for a while, so o-well.
