no more contest, i had to drop out of the running. I guess i started off too lean… It was my first time training for a contest, so i didn’t realise how much i had to bulk up beofore i started cutting. If i’m going to compete, i need to compete in middle-weight due to my height and frame. Now I can get back to my original goal of 190-195 lbs and <or=7% bf.

i’m not so satisfied anymore. i fear that i am loosing my hard earned mass! I have lost about 4-6lbs so far and still need to drop to 165 for weigh in. I have no idea how i can do that and keep my muscle. No carbs and no fat makes for an unsatisfying meal. i need some new techniques to keep up the mass and still lean out….

I’m just about 8 weeks out now from the heart of texas competition and i’m pretty satisfied thus far. I just about broke my foot last weekend durring my soccer game so that kind of put a hold on legs/cardio for a bit but i think i’ll be ok. I need a posing coach though, if anyone knows of any in the dallas area, let me know.

i started taking this plasmavol a few days ago and this stuff is fantastic. i used to take the NO explode and Nitric blast for pre workout, but this stuf completely wins out so far. i have had a couple friends try it as well, some said the noticed nothing, others said the same things i did. I am not a huge fan of the taste, and it is around $3 a serving, but it is certainly worth it to try. Hit up FitnessEssentials for more info on the product.

I’m aving trouble putting on the weight i want to put on. I would like to be at 190 195, but with 4-5% b.f.. The halovar is working very well and i have been gaining a little, but i just cant do it rapidly enough. I eat, a lot, and pretty healthily, i also stopped taking fatburners for a while, but i want to maintain that "hard" look. I dont think eating a lot, taking halovar, AND taking fat burners is the best way to achive my goal. if anyone has any suggestions, leave a message. It’s getting frustrating, but I still love everything about the lifestyle.

Quick leg day due to prior obligations. My favorite way to warm up for legs is the stairmaster for 10-12 mins. Cross-step, side-step, and toe-step. Switching up the speed/style and intensity allows for more of the muscle groups in your legs to wake up. After the master, i went into leg presses, 4 sets of 10 reps.552–> 642–> 732–>822. Next, 2 sets of 20 reps of seated calf raises, 310–>350. After that, 4 sets of upright leg curls, each leg individually for 10 reps. 60–> 70–>80–>80. I went back and did two more identical sets of seated calve raises. Lastly, 3 sets of individual leg extensions. 10 reps each. 110–>135–>155. As a cool down, I like to get on the treadmill for a 1/2 mile, full incline 2.5-3 mph. Throughout the workout i will continuously stretch, i learned some good stretches from playing soccer for most of my ife, and also from doing yoga with an old girlfriend… but thats a whole other story…

Back and Bi’s are getting better and better. Warm up with 2 super sets of standing dumbell curls (35’s) 20reps, and wide grip pull ups with 6 to 8 reps. From there, striaght into seated close grip rows, 3 sets of 10 reps with 190–> 220–>245 lbs. Then into preacher curls 3 sets of classic curls 10-8-8 reps, 125–>140–>155. Then, 4 sets of wide-grip pull downs, 8-8-8-10, 130–>160–>160–>115. 3 sets of 12 reps of back extensions 250 lbs each set. 3 sets of bent uni-lat rows 10-10-8, 125–>155–>160. Finished out the day with some seated hammer curls with 30’s, 2 sets 12 reps… seem like a hell of a lot more when you are writing it…
