Upper body Definition workout, warm-up suggestions please

Today I’m doing the upper body Definition workout, it’s my favorite. I get such quick results from it. I also plan to do 30 minutes of cardio on my elliptical. Now that I’m using the elliptical I have less knee pain! My mother and I have started taking walks in the morning at least 3 days a week in addition to my regular workouts. I find the walks to be a great warm-up before hitting the weights. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for warm-ups other than walking or using the elliptical, thanks.

Upper body workout, after lunch

Today I’m doing the Quick Quartet upper body workout with weights. I’m doing 30 minutes on the elliptical for cardio, but this will be after lunch. Lunch will be a low carb chicken wrap with a side salad, one of my favorite meals!

Light day, good diet

I took a walk this morning and I’m bowling tonight. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days off from working out. I’m following my diet if you want to call it that. It seems more like a lifestyle now. I like the food and it is easy to do. I’m looking forward to my weight training workout tomorrow. I’m switching programs so it should be fun!

Recovering, suggestions welcomed!

I’m back on the Sugar Busters Diet today after being sick. It makes me feel better when I follow this diet. Loosing inches off my waist because of it helps too. I have decided to wait until next week to do my weight and measurement checks. After being sick for a couple of days I don’t think I will get an accurate reading of my progress if I do it now. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get back on track after being sick, please let me know, thanks.

Lower body Definition workout

Today I’m going to do the lower body Definition workout. I’m going to see how I feel after that. If I’m up to it I will do some cardio. I’m going to take it slow since I’m still not feeling 100% better yet. I’m not back on the diet yet, I’m eating bland so I don’t upset my stomach.

I can’t workout today. I caught the virus my mother had and now I’m really bumbed out. I can’t keep anything down. I hope I can shake this soon. I hope everyone else is doing better than me.

Upper body Definition workout today

I didn’t get my weight training workout in yesterday. My mother became very sick so I went to take care of her. I did do 30 minutes of cardio on her exercise bike. I am happy to report that she is feeling better today. I am looking forward to my upper body workout. I love to train my shoulders and abs. My diet is going well. I bought a glycemic index cookbook that has great recipes in it.

Upper body Definition workout

Today I’m going to do upper body weight training and cardio on my elliptical. I’m going to follow the Definition program by Joyce Vedral for the weights. I have found that her programs are great for people who want to lose fat and tone up their muscles. I’m about 50Lbs over weight but I can already see muscle definition in some areas. My calves are shapely and my thighs are getting slimmer as are my arms. I’m still excited about losing 2 inches off my waist in a little over two weeks. It is really exciting to have my clothes fitting better. I feel much healthier too. I keep getting one step closer to my goals which is great for motivation.

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

I went off my diet yesterday, but I’m back on track today. I went golfing yesterday and the heat got to me so I reached for the first drink and food I could get. The sports drink had too much sugar for my system but I needed it. Next time I will be prepared and bring my own drink and snack. I did get a pretty good workout from it, I’m sore today. I’m going to do some cardio and I bowl tonight so I will do weight training tomorrow. My good results are keeping me going, and inspiring my mother helps too. I got my cousin to workout also and she is doing great. I was hoping for my family to follow my lead and to have my mother and cousin eating better and working out means I have succeeded with that goal. It feels great to lead by example.

The scale said I’m only down a pound, but I’ve lost half an inch off my hips and 2 inches off my waist! I am very excited about this. My diet and exercise programs are working. I believe I have found something I can live with. On an even better note, my mother is seeing the changes in me and is starting to eat healthier and she is using her exercise bike!
