Starting fresh

After the injuries, waiting for test results and vacation, my waist got bigger and I put on some weight. I am starting fresh with some new goals. I want to drop 2-3 dress sizes by the first week in April for my Florida vacation. Next I want to drop at least one more dress size by June for my brother’s wedding. I am happy that I was able to accomplish some of my original goals, lowering my resting pulse and lowering my blood sugar.

To accomplish my new goals I am going to follow the Sugar Busters diet recommended by my doctor. I plan to do weight training four days a week and cardio 5 days a week for 20-30 minutes to start with. I refuse to give up! I will accomplish my goals! I will be healthy! I thank all of you who have helped me and who will continue to help me.

I’m still on vacation but thought I would check in to keep myself focused. I’ve been doing a lot of walking. The diet has been more difficult. I have done well today so far. I plan to do a weigh-in the day after I get back. I hope everyone is well and I will let everyone know how I did on the rest of the vacation.

My husband and I are going on vacation for a week. My husband said he will help me to stay on my diet. We are going to be doing a lot of walking, golfing and parks. I hope to maybe lose some fat on the trip, but if not I will just begin again when I get back.

Test results!

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

I can finally get back to working out! My doctor called and said my test results are normal! I have a weight restriction for lifting because of my heart condition, I was born with an abnormality. I can not lift over 20lbs, but that is fine. I think I will go do a workout now!

Still no results

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

My doctor still hasn’t received my test results from the lab. It was a 24 hour test so I do understand that it will take a while. I did get on my elliptical and did a mild workout on it. It has been hard to stick to my diet the past couple of days. I’m back up to the weight I started at. I really miss the workouts I was doing before, they got rid of a lot of stress and made me feel good.  I still believe that I can reach my goals in the time I have left. I have to say again that the support I have received on this site is beyond anything that I had expected. Thank you all again for all the support.
