Motivation Mondays!
It's that time again, its Monday...at work looking forward to my workout, because I am tired and sitting at a desk job I want to move and groove. It took me a while to write this post with life, flu, and making the time. But I have to share this one!
I know I said whats your motivation song? What gives you that fuel to get out the bed, leave the office on lunch taking that first step to workout.
Today my motivation song come from Linkin Park "Breaking the Habit". this song can carry a lot of different meanings but for me...it's breaking habits not only for the last few years of my weight gain, laziness but undoing a lifetime of bad habits.
I mean really when you think about it. When you listen to the song its constant fustration of a habit a self destruction. How to you stop that? You have to face it. I mean relate this to health and fitness...self destructing habits what are you eating...is the food processed, are you eating enough foods, is there veggies, lean protein....these are things we learn but once you learn it will you implement it? Even knowing but not doing is a habit that needs to be broken.
So breaking the habit is a constant work in progress. Its a constant dedication...its taking a good honest look at yourself and saying why are you doing this to yourself. And once you get to that AH-HA moment of fitness then you have to look at yourself and wonder now how do I get started. This song is perfect you gotta break those habits that got you to that point. Creating new habits that will help you be at your best health, best fitness.
I am at the best I felt fitness wise in years! Because even younger I was just thin but ate terribly, but age and metabolism has a funny way of kicking you in the butt! Also some tought love from my spouse. This song gets me going everytime though...the beat is awesome, the lyrics give me a chance to take a look at myself daily and make sure I am being honest with myself, my eating habits, my goals. Nothing can stop me!
I dont know how I got this way but I'll never be ****ght so Im breaking the habit....wow. Sometims its true you look up and say what the heck...how did I let it get this far? You have to make the change, you can't have someone else break the bad habit, motivate you, make you go to the gym...because at the end of the day you have to want it the most out of everyone! Breaking bad habits is for you to suceceed!
What habits do you need to break? What changes do you need to make? Take a listen to this song...I hope it inspires and have you take a honest look at the changes needing to be made! Happy Monday, Happy Health, Happy Fitness. Enjoy!
