So last week I had some type of plague/flu/cold/sinus/virus thingy!!! UGH the worst. There was no I need to listen to my body, it just shut down all on its on.Me and the spouse my biggest support system was out for the count the whole week! We lost 9lbs each(I gained 4 back with normal eating habits).
Entering back in the real world has been challenging. Remember it takes 3 days to loose a habit. Not being able to cook and prepare took it toll on me. Even this week I have had missteps in prepartion. I think getting my head mentally back in the game is key. Little by little my new ingrained healthy habits is showing itself(thank goodness) So this weekend back to my old self. Taking time to prepare. Restocking the fridge. And eating healthy fully! (being sick has serverly hindered my full out healthy eating) Like I said though slowly but surely back to normal...my new normal healthy eating and the gym.
Which was also another challenge my first day to the gym was hard like it felt like I was back at day one....i was soo exhausted during my workout like I knew I could lift more but the energy lost was apparent....but its okay I still mangage to do all my workouts for the week. So that routine is back in business.
Remember listen to your body and remember after getting back well it takes your body time to fully recover and be healthy. Keep pushing to feed yourself the right foods to refuel and know even when your sickness is gone your body is still healing and it may take a few extra days after to get back in the swing of things.
