Intermittent fasting (feeding)
After alot of research and careful consideration I've decided to give Intermittent Fasting a go. I want to keep a diary each day as a record for myself and if anyone is interested then well and good
My interest began when I came across leangains.com it goes into detail about the different types of fasting you can do, such as 1-2 days plus the daily one I became interested in. Its based on the ratio 16:8. Fast for 16 hours and have an 8 hour window where you consume your daily food intake normally in 3 meals. It also depends alot on nutrient timing, BCAA's, carb loading and the quality of the food you consume. At first I was skeptical as its processed into the fitness world the importance of eating every 2-3 hours. I'm not going to go into anymore detail about the fast, if your intrigued head to leangains.com and take the time to read what Mark Berkhan has to say.
More about me........
Ive always been into exercise but found over the years my weight sits naturally around 144-146lbs when im not training and eating clean. I'm only 5ft5 so being that weight does not look too good. For the last few months my weight is around 133lbs, which i can deal with but my aim really is to lose another 7lbs without comprimising on muscle.
This morning before going to the gym I weighed 134lbs. All week I have been eating pretty clean apart from a sneaky chinese (ssssssssshhhh - it is a saturday night after all).
Its 11pm now so the 16 hour fast would take me to 3pm tomorrow before my first meal? Il decide nearer the time how Im feeling as normally I wont be consuming food this late in the evening.
Il wake in the morning, have a cup of strong coffee and before hitting the gym take 10mg BCAA's as suggested.
Il be back to blog tomorrow.
night for now.
