Getting Bigger
Since November I’ve been on the Kelly Bagget bulking program (the book’s title is "How to gain slabs of lean muscle without turning into a tub of lard in the process" I kid you not!). The basic premise is a 14 day cycle with 11 days of eating and training for bulking followed by 3 days of eating and training for cutting. After three and a half months I’m up to 143lbs, but my waist has only gone up 1 inch. Also, my strength has improved alot! I’m benching 70lbs a hand for flat dumbell press, 55 a hand for incline press, and shoulder press of 45lbs.
I like this program, as I get to eat a greater variety of food. The three days of lower calories/no carbs is actually a bit of a relief after 11 days of chowing down. Also like the workout programs which mix density movements and cardio movements
