That runner’s high!

So I’ve changed over to a 40/40/20 diet for the last two weeks, and lost some weight and inches.  So I’m pleased about that.  It’s nice to see progress and not have to starve myself to get it.  I’ve been doing some HIIT in my workouts too, and man, have I missed that runner’s high!  I like getting a pump from my weightlifting workouts, but I actually have to force myself off the treadmill when my workout is over.  I keep it at around 20-30 mins so I don’t start using muscle, but I’m really happy about being able to run pain-free.

So i’m feeling better today.  I was really down yesterday, not exactly sure why.  Everything has been really stressful lately, and not losing weight on top of everything was kind of the last straw.  I’m glad that I’ve decided to stick it out w/keto, I do like the meals and food as long as i stick to my meal plan.  Making some of my meals the night before seems to be helping.  And I’ve set out my meals for the rest of the week in my food journal.  I’m hoping to be around 143-142 by Nov 3rd. i still don’t know if i’ll make it to by goals by Nov 22, but i’ll going to give it everything I’ve got.

Bonus!  I went to the dr yesterday and she said my knee looks okay, so I’m going to go for a slow 20 min of the treadmill today to see if it hurts.  I would LOVE to run outside, but I don’t want to go up any hills and risk not being able to run for another 6 months.  Cuz that sucked.

Looking forward to the gym today.  I’m doing chest/back and a little run, and hopefully, I’ll get my runner’s high back, add the pump from lifting, and you have my addictions!

Like I said (or typed, whatever)  I feel like total sh*t.  This friggin sucks.  my weight has gone up 6 lbs since I started keto, and everytime after my carb-up day, I’m higher and higher, and the weight isn’t coming off.  neither are the inches.  Maybe I’m not doing it right, actually, i’m probably not doing it right.  but it’s driving me up the freakin wall.  UGH!!!!!!  It’s my 3rd or 4th week of keto, and i’ve gone from 140 to 146.  What the hell?

So, my refeed went pretty well today, didn’t go overboard like I did last week, and broke ketosis before I did my depletion workout.  Hopefully that will set me up for a very productive week.  I re-did my goals for Nov 22, so that i can reach my goals, and I have to lose 3 lbs per week for the next 5 weeks to make it.  So I’ll really have to crack down on my meals and little snacks here and there to make it, but I really believe in myself that I can do it, and that I will be at around 10-12% by my b-day.  Well, I’m pretty tired, so I’m off to bed for the evening! have a great day!

So keto is going really well.  I weigh more than before, but my bodyfat is lower, so that’s nice.  I’m hoping to be down to 130 by my b-day - Nov 22.  I had best get there…or else…lol  I like that i’m not starving on keto.  I’m not really hungry at all.  And I can eat after 6pm.  Depletion workouts arent the greatest experience in the world, but at least I get to carb-up afterward…which is definitely worth it!  I put down all my goals in an Excel spreadsheet, so I’ll know if I’m on track with my meals and everything, and it helps me to stay on track.  I’m learning to eat a little healthier on it too, sticking with olive oil and good fats to get my percentages, instead of salami and other crap.  I’m hoping to take some new pics this Sat, before I head to the gym, to see if I’ve made any progess.  i recently read an article on a different site that said if you want to lose some fat, you have to focus on losing fat, an all out war on fat (his words).  So that’s what I’m going to do.  I’m not going to up my weights unless they are too light for me, but I’m not going to push that.  i’d rather meet my weight and bodyfat goal by Nov. 

Sometimes I get a little longwinded….oops…:P

mini goals for monday

Weight : 142  Waist : 27.0  Hips : 37.0  Thighs : 22.0  Bodyfat : 20.0%

Feeling much better about this maintenance thing, have my cals up around 1800, and my percentages 40/40/20, and am really enjoying being able to eat properly.  As an added bonus, I’ve added weight to a lot of exercises over this past week cuz I"m actually giving myself the energy that I need through calories, not caffiene.  hahaha…

Starting a 6 week challenge today.  Will be interesting to see what happens to my body over the next 6 weeks.  Not supposed to be competitive, just with ourselves, but…well…I LIKE the challenge of competition…lol…in a really good mood today…probably from all those carbs all weekend..hahaha

So weight is up today, but measurement goals for today have been hit, don’t really get it, more confused than frusterated today…have to learn how to spell frusterated one of these days.  I know it’s not right, but at 5am I don’t really care.  hahahaha…going to take some new progress pics on Sat Morn, so looking forward to seeing some positive changes. at least I better….hahaha…need coffee…need coffee….coffeemaker’s done.  WOOHOO….coffee mmmmm….
