This day was an almost total nightmare. First, I ran out of Protan/Dye-o-Derm the night before and scrambled all over town for a substitstute. What I ended up with was Jan Tana that streaked all over the following morning. Went up to the show alone, my trainer was over an hour late, and I found out I would only be competing against 1 person in my class. Things got worse with a $26 parking ticket, my parents canceled on me again (still haven’t come to one of my shows) and my friend showed up late to give me a ride, and we got lost in philly making me over an hour late to the night show which I figured I’d be disqualified for. In the end, I won my class as I had expected, the overall went to light heavey that had 1/2 of philly there to support him, and my stomach was so torn up from dieting I had to cut my celebration short and nearly burnt my apartment down when I fell asleep with pizza in the oven. I want to compete again in more competitive shows on a national level, but I think this was a great learning experience for me and I will do even better in the future!

Well, my first show this season is out of the way. I came in at 138 lbs, a little lighter than I was expecting, but I was very pleased with my conditioning. I won the Novice Lightweight and Open Bantamweight classes, but the big win of the night was taking the Novice Overall. As a bantamweight, I beat out all of the other, bigger, competitors thanks to my conditioning and that made these past three monthes of dieting worth it. I’m pretty exhausted right now but I’m going no carb all week and hope to come in even crisper this Saturday at the Philadelphia Show. Wish me luck!

The diet has been going really well, starting cycling high/medium/low and no carb days a few weeks ago. Last week was 2 low, then 2 medium, then 2 no carb and finished with a high carb on Sunday. This diet has been a lot easier on my nerves than the one I used to prepare for my last show. So far I have lost 20.5 lbs and I’m super happy with how I look. Ill try to post some new pics later this week.

Still on the same diet, still haven’t drank. Feel really good, wieght has been down as low as 154 lbs, 12 lbs lost since feb! Strength was starting to get sapped but I started working out earlier and that seems to have negated my fatigue. POsted some new pics, my posing needs a lot of work. show is getting closer, can’t wait!

I posted some progress pics. Made it all the way up to 166lbs and since cutting back on Feb 17th I’m down to 158.5 lbs. Haven’t drank since the 17th, stepped up my diet last week, starting to get a little trying. I’ll probably step my diet up again about 8 weeks out from my show, depending on my shape. Real excited to see how it turns out!

Visited with my trainer and he put me an a hurry-up diet to try and pack a few more pounds on before I started leaning out. I already top 165 lbs which amazed me so I’m setting my goal to be 170 by the middle of Feb and start cutting down. The show I’m going to do is the Philadelphia Bodybuilding Classic on May 19, wish me luck! I’ll post some new photos on here soon and track all the way to the show.

Since I started this profile I’ve had some ups and downs training. I started getting excruciating exertional headaches when working out, and it slowed me up a little but some prescription strength ibuprofin seems to be working. Switched up my stagnent lifting program and incorporated some position of flexion training. Also, up to 158-159 lbs!! Can still see my abs, although considerably more soggy then I like to look. Decided to change my orginal goal of 160 by January to 165. Wish me luck!
