How do I improve my posture?

I have had bad posture my whole life and want to improve it. When I try and stand up straight and keep my shoulders back I get really light headed and my back will hurt for days.

Does anyone know any simple exercises that could inprove my posture? Thanks!!!

Lots of pain

I have been trying to lift more weight but have noticed in am in a lot of pain for about 3 days after I workout. I stretch before and after my workouts but that does not seem to help. Does anyone know after working a particular muscle group how long those muscles should be sore. I understand "no pain/no gain" but think I am doing something wrong. Any advise would be appreciated.

Lifting and cardio

I have started doing both weight lifting and cardio to try and gain muscle and burn more fat. I am not sure if I should do the lifting first or the cardio. Also, I have considered doing just cardio in the morning before I eat and try to lift after work. Any suggestions?

I am not getting the results I am looking for. I think I am going to try and add more cardio to try and burn fat as well as start lifting more. I am doing fine with eating right, just need to take it up a couple of notches. I am feeling alot better and have more energy throughout the day. At least I have that going for me.

AM vs PM?

I have been researching whether it is better to lift weights in the morning or evening, but am not really finding the answer. I was not sure if it is better to exercise on an emptier stomach to try to burn more fat. Can anyone give me any insight into this?

Starting out slower

I have cut back on the amount of weight I am lifting due to extreme soreness and fatigue.  I do  have fibromyalgia and this has caused lots of problems for me in regards to sticking to an exercise program in the past. I hope this time I can stick with it for more than a couple of weeks and make it a life-long habit.

Any advise on how to recover faster of weightlifting would be appreciated.

Am I doing this right?!?

 have been reading a lot about suppliments and am trying to figure out what to use. I see must guys on bodyspace use whey protein to bulk up and add muscle. I am trying to add muscle in my shoulders, pecs and arms but really need to lose my gut (46" waist).Should I use whey protein to add muscle to burn more fat or concentrate on going losing the weight first and adding muscle later? Does anyone have any advise? Please help!

I am trying to figure out exactly that to do. I am at 33% body fat. Do I focus on losing weight by lifting weights and gaining muscle or do I do lots of cardio to try and burn off the fat then try to add muscle? There is a lot of information on this website but I am having trouble trying to figure out what I need to do.

I basically have no upperbody strenght. When I see most guys lifting 200lbs+ I think something must be wrong with me because I can only bench about 80 lbs. I know it takes time to get there and that every person is different. My goal is to build up my chest, shoulders and arms and lose get down to 10% body fat.

Any responses to my post, if anyone reads it, would be greatly appreciated!

Starting tomorrow

I am starting my workout program tomorrow. I am going to spend some time today researching what exercises I should do and on what days. I want to be sure to do this correctly and not hurt myself. I know it is going to take a year until I am happy with any results.

I would kill to look like half of these guys before pics.  Hopefully someday I will look good enough to post a pic of myself on this site. My goal is to someday be able to take off my shirt in front of other people and not be embarrassed.
