Another long session on the treadmill.  It was supposed to snow .. but nada!  Anway, 10 miles today.  about 2:07 to get that done and used up about 1225 calories.  Since you need to replenish your carbs when you finish this off … what better way to do that than head right on down to your local McMenamins have a nice pint of Terminator Stout while waiting for your Grilled Chicken Brewers salad to be prepared.   Hey, It’s my excuse!  LOL :)   I was reasonably happy with the workout today.  About 6 more weeks until the 1/2 marathon.

Best of luck with your competition. I was just reading an issue of Runner’s World with a story on Joan Benoit Samuelson. She’s 49 and will compete at the U.S. Olympic trials marathon for women in Boston in April 2008. Incredible.

WOW! Two hours on the treadmill, That’s a long time to be in one place even if you are moving. Do you read something or watch TV during that time? I run for 30 minutes several times a week and I do enough thinking to solve half of the worlds problems. What is your mind doing during this time?

I’d have to agree with Wmachine on this one…2 hours on a treadmill is very impressive. I’m glad to hear the winter months haven’t slowed you down as much as they very well could have.
My sister is actually training for a 1/2 marathon als. So I would wish you the best of luck on your continued training but from the sounds of your workout I have a feeling that motivation and dedication have replaced the concept of ‘luck’ in this situation. Keep up the great work.

PS-thanks for the comments…and I’ll look forward to hearing more about your progress leading to your 1/2 marathon!
