Love running to rocky movies

Man do I love being on my treadmill with Rocky movies on demand with comcast..talk about motivation!  Between the treadmill and the weights..i love working out anyways so this is only more motivation for me!  Especially the fight with Rocky in number 4 with Draco!  woohoo..
he is made of steel..draco says..That’s my goals..to be made of steel and not chocolate!  hee hee

War is won in the will

The old saying, War is won in the will is true.  I may have lost some battles due to my health but I also win some which is why I WILL WIN THE WAR.

This is my body and I will care for it as it is the only one I have.  No disease, no illness, no personal problem, no job, no degree, no struggle will EVER take bodybuilding away from me.  I will always RETURN to it.

This is why and how I will win the war.  One day, one hour and one weight at a time.
I am back!

Fell off the wagon and it ran me over

Boy oh boy did I fall off the wagon and it ran me over!  I was so lost these last few weeks but I am ready to get back to it!  Pain and going to the hospital kept me from working out but I am ready as a heart attack to make good tomorrow.

It is difficult when you fall off the wagon to get back on but I am determined to not be a statistic and quit.  I will never stop until my weight is lost and I am my normal size and ready for anything!  Look good  and feel good is my ultimate goal.

Candlelight and Vodka and Ray Charles

So I am gearing up to start a new workout routine so I am sitting by candle light at 2AM,sipping some vodka on the rocks and listening to a littel Ray Charles.  I am trying to relax before the onslaught of my new regimen of strict eating and logging.  I am enjoying this quiet time..with three teens it is hard to come by.

Carmen electra’s Videos are Fun!

Life is funny.  Just when you think you have it figured out it completely unravels on you.  Exercise has been a constant for me and keeps me young, energenic and hopeful.  I love running and lifting weights the most as it is the gift that keeps on giving.  Some weeks I almost gave up but when I get back into working out the high, th epump and the strength returns to me and I hold out hope I can reach my goals.

I really love Purple Wraath and taking my Omegas.  Health from the Sun has the best Total EFA 3-6-9 with fish oil. I feel less pain with both.

I started Carmen Electra’s dance video to mix it up a bit and am enjoying it.  Billy Blanks is becoming tiresome..

Health Setbacks, Brain problems and Choosing Better

Facing setbacks is a part of everyone’s life, but lately I have had so many it has been overwhelming.  My health took a sudden turn for the worse when I had a seziure on 2-23 and had been seziure free for 4 years prior.  NOw I find out I have a brain malformation that may require brain surgery.  Since MI law states if you have a seizure you cannot drive for 6 months I also lost my ability to drive.

I still workout..but it has been hard to find the motivation with this hanging over my head.  I still choose better and not bitter.

Pilates

Some and my girls bought some pilates equipment as everyone who uses it seems to look so good.  I am looking forward to trying it out.  Stretching and pulling is always good for the body.

Personally I prefer weight lifting to any other activity though…makes me feel strong.

Keeping up After a Year of Struggling

So I am still struggling to lose my weight but my strength and endurance are stronger than ever.  My crazy life pace like everyone else’s is something to manage.  Three teens keep me so busy  I am exhausted most days with school as well.

I love what bodybuilding does for me though.  Keeps me focused and on track with my goals.  I hope 2009 proves to be the year I win my battle of the bulge and get the slamming body and health I have been chasing for so long now.

Good luck to everyone who wishes me well and I am with you in spirit in our workouts.

Muscle Confusion and My own Confusion

I have been trying new techniques to break my plateau.  Winter causes my previous surgeries wounds to hurt and my knees and back as well.  I have been trying various techniques including muscle confusion and some new tapes with various workout "specialists".  I am on to try yoga and pilates as I feel I can benefit from these as well.  I almost fell of my exercise ball laughing trying to do some weird contortion exercises fromone tape and found I am not as flexible as I thought I am.LOL.

I like to do very intense workouts as well as they push me more than running on the treadmill.  If anyone has advice for me on how to perform muscle confusion techniques it would be greatly appreciated.
