The Ice Has Halted My Plans… BOOO

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Last night I watched in awe.. every station said it was going to be nasty this morning.. but still for some reason when I woke up I couldn’t believe it was 28, rainy and my truck was covered in ice.  It was only 4 days ago that it was 80 degrees in Texas, so gotta love that crazy bi-polar Texas weather!

Anyway long story short, I usually go to the gym in the mornings to kick off my day with the workout under my belt, but because the roads were horrible, it was to dangerous to do so… I chalked it up to I will go this afternoon when it clears a little, then the news sent even those plans on a curve ball with the comment, "By noon temperatures will be dropping and freezing rain and snow will limit visability." Followed by, "If possible this would be a good day to stay at home as roadways in rural areas will be slick and dangerous"

Now let me explain, no one where I live is a great driver in the first place, they see a little rain and instantly become a NASCAR driver and freak out, fly off the roads and most certainly indanger others.. so for the news to point out that the weather would be worse than just rain was disturbing to me that my short 8 mile trip would have to be cancelled today to the gym all together…

Schools are closed, my office is closed and so I guess today I will be working out with my mini weights at home.. BOOOOO

My new leg workout is brutal BUT SOOOO WORTH IT

Monday, January 19th, 2009

On my way to the transformation challenge I have really been looking to work my problem areas the big one being my legs.  I hate the way they look!!  So I did a lot of questioning and researching as to what would really target those areas that I least like and help sculpt them into the stems I have always wanted.

After all the questions I asked the pros on here and all the books and magazines I read I developed my very own 15 part leg day which is brutal!!  Including three different kinds of squats and lunges, leg curls, leg extensions, two calf exercises and some inner and outer thigh machine work in only a few workouts I can see the difference already!

Although it was hard to walk, sit or for that matter move over the weekend I can see that it is really starting to lead me into the right direction to better match my upper body.  In just a few weeks when I post progress pictures I hope to show my new results and while they will not be complete until April with the challenge I will continue to post every few weeks along with my overall progress.

Life After The Flu

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

I had no more than began my first contest than I was hit by the flu and it stunned me from being on track.  I had developed my workout and diet and then the flu knocked me for a loop as one of life’s little surprises.  Go figure!!  I have been pretty much in bed and unable to eat all week, which might sound like a good thing in the world of just trying to drop numbers on the scale, but not so much when it comes to strength and conditioning.  So I am hoping to get back full strength by tomorrow.  I feel a lot better today and yesterday even braved work for a little while, only because it had to be done.  Today I feel sooo much better.  So a word or warning to everyone out there, TONS of fluids otherwise you could end up out of the loop like I did!!

Week 1 Follow Up

Monday, January 5th, 2009

It has been one week since I decided to sign up for the Hydroxycut Max Transformation Challenge.  I finally ordered my product today and now am just waiting for it to come in so I can see how it increases my energy levels.  I am really excited.

My workouts are going well.  I have changed up my initial routine which I had followed for most of last year and am jolting my system by kicking it up a notch, already seeing progress in my shoulders from my workouts.  Now just to get the lower half to go along and make big changes but that will come in time.  Until then I am taking on 7 days a week about 2 hours a day and about to really reevaluate my diet and get that on track.

Chicken will be my new best friend really soon looks like!
