I joined my first contest !!!

After writing my blog before I had a little encouragement from another bodyspacer to try to join a contest, specifically the Hydroxycut Max Transformation Challenge!  So despite my insecurity on competing in something of this nature, I bit the bullet and did it.

Running until the end of April I will be further inspired to not let anything slip through the cracks and will be posting my workout in detail and working on a journal soon and posting before pics.  I am my own worst critic so that will be the most horrific of the endeavor… pain i can deal with after workouts but seeing yourself in a photo is sometimes intimidating!

The Post Christmas Goal Setting Has Begun

Working out over Christmas is hard, the gym has been closed and with my crazy work schedule I had fallen out of touch.  But like many who wrap up the holidays feeling not so bueno about their diet, I decided to make my way back to my workout plan and clean up the little here and there eating that has been out of the norm for me.

Doing so I enlisted another person!  A friend from high school who wanted to embark on her own journey to transformation.  I have come a long way on my own transformation so it was exciting to know she wanted me to help be a part of hers.  While I still have a ways to go on meeting my own goals seeing someone else get started is motivational too and I look forward to helping her on her way to her goals.

My goals and hers both seem to work hand in hand.  Both of us have set aside March as our next target.  Mine because of my birthday and hers because of her anniversary.  Both of us would like to be happier in swimsuits by that time so we can celebrate each event.

To reach this goal I kicked off again on Saturday and have decided to work though grueling workouts 6 days a week alternating chest and back and biceps and triceps and splitting up my leg workout to encompass more work.  In addition we decided to pair an intense ab workout, 20 minutes at least 3 days a week with cardio each day to really get some results.

Should be a long hard run but one with great gains at the end.  Until then we will muscle through the pain and work to increase strength while working off those pounds standing between us and our bikinis!!

Christmas And The Diet Delimma

Ok so Christmas isn’t a horrible time of the year or anything but for some reason it has thrown my routine into a loop.  Because of work and also added stressful projects I have fallen into a slump.  I haven’t been able to go to the gym as much and well even though my diet hasn’t changed that much it has been on the short list of things which seem to be drifting away slowly.

Can’t the holiday just end already so I can get back on track instead of being under the gun with work on short deadlines???

 While I haven’t gained any weight or fallen out of shape, it is inevitible that if this doesn’t find a way back to a norm soon it will happen so I need to find a way to jolt myself back on track!

My Newest Headache

I have a thing I do every year, it is a football dvd of all the photos I take throughout the high school football season for the newspaper that I compile and put on disk for loyal football fans in my area.  It is quite a task and takes some time to get everything in order so it works correctly.  I finished this thing off like 3 days ago and was ready to burn it off and make it happen, put the dvd in and it made some crazy sound and that was it.  NOTHING!!!  I have hours put into this thing and now it won’t burn, NOT BUENO!!
