Body Fat Percentage Question… Please Help
Ok so I have been going about my workout program seeing pounds and inches fly off but one thing I have never been the slightest bit interested in finding out was my body fat percentage. It was a number I never really wanted to know to be honest, I worried it would freak me out and make me depressed, so I avoided it.
But now that I am becoming more confident in my workout I would like to be brave and finally get this assessment so I can track my progress. The only problem, I have no idea how to get this figure.
I need help as to how to do this please.

There are some calculators online that you can use a tape measure with, but they are not very accurate. There are also some scales that will give you a BF % estimate, but they aren’t too reliable either. The best way, short of water submersion, is to get a pair of calipers and use those to do the test. A lot of gyms have some on hand and will take your body fat percentage for free if you ask them.
The BB.com website sells calipers, as well as many stores:

I got my calipers from BB.com and they are great. I remember being around 20% in elementary school, so I was scared to find out. After I did, it gave me a sense of accomplishment as I was much lower than expected. Human nature is to fear the worst and hope for the best. It really is the best measure of where you are, and allows you to figure out what is working and when its time to change things up.

I agree with the other comments. I would get your body fat done at the gym. Fat scales (scales that measure your body fat) are really unreliable, I have found.
