Good Morning!

I haven’t been updating the blog often, but don’t think I’m slacking on my fitness! Granted I haven’t been dieting and training like a professional as I have done in the past. I’m just living my life, not thinking much about my routine and diet- it just comes naturally to me. I eat my 100-150g protein every day, I eat my veggies and complex carbs- but i don’t think twice about it. It’s a life style that I don’t let myself think about. And my results have been amazing. I love the healthy feeling. I remember back in the day when I was training for a FAME competition, I weighed absolutly everything, and logged it into fitday. I can’t be bothered with that right now. I’m going to Cancun this week (last minute!) and I didn’t have to think twice about pulling out my smallest bikinis. I love it. Maybe one day I’ll get serious again and train for a comp. But right now, I’m just living the life (style).

I’ve seen some dramatic improvement in my hamstrings and body fat percentage. Even though I took a few weeks off and went to Europe where I ate like a queen, and put on a good 10lbs, I’ve managed to lose most of it since I’ve been back, and in the process of losing, packed on some nice muscle again. Thank goodness for muscle memory! :P

So, i’m sitting at 144lbs. ot sure about body fat percentage. My goal and comfortable weight is 135lbs. But I’m looking healthy and fit right now. Enough so to parade around in my bikini on the beach this week.

My goal is to fully have my abs back by Christmas. I see definition now, but I want the abs and toned thighs. I will see the cuts in my hams, quads, abs and triceps come december.

 Have a fit day!

Feeling great!

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

I joined a new gym last week. I decided it was time for an upgrade. I’ve been going to the same run down all women’ gym for almost 6 years. I decided to join a coed gym that is well equiped with a nice environment. It has been a nice change.

Today I didn’t make it to the gym, so I decided to go for a run after dinner. I managed to get out there for about an hour. It was mostly interval training since I am not able to run more than 8 minutes straight at this time. I walked for a few minutes, jogged for a few, sprinted a few more, jogged it off, then sprinted again repeated until I got home.  Worked up a good sweat.

Yesterday I did legs and more cardio. I walked out shaking. It was fabulous. I’ve started using heavier weight again for the first time in maybe 2 years. I was up to only 70lbs on the squat rack because I could barely hit 10 reps with that on each set. I need to focus more on my hamstrings, so I did curls and deads and finished with calf raises. I was able to get up to 135lbs for 8 reps x 3. Nice pump. I will do legs again on Saturday. Tomorrow will be chest and back.

My diet’s been pretty good up until yesterday. If I don’t pack a lunch with me for work, I’m forced to eat food from a small convenience store because there is no where to buy healthy food. I will take the time to prepare healthy meals for work.

I know I committed myself to take photos on wednesdays, but for some reason I cannot charge my battery. It just won’t charge. I will take some pics as soon as I buy what I need to get my camera working. I definately see some change in my legs and stomach area.

I honestly love the BSN Lean  Dessert protein shakes. They are soooo good in my oatmeal in the mornings, and they fill me up before bed.

I have a bit of extra motivation for training and dieting harder. I am going to California for a reunion with old friends at the end of August. I was also asked to help promote a car show for a few friends who are involved in that industry. Yes it’s a modeling gig. I haven’t done one of these before, so I’m excited to do it and very motivated to get myself in the best shape possible for it considering there will be tons of photos shot and uniform is well- barely there. :)

I made the mistake of taking a dose of lipo 6 at 7pm today. (Went for my workout later than usual) I feel wired at 1am and I have to work in the morning. *sigh*

A new beginning- again

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

I think back to 2006-2007. I was in the best shape of my life. Popping abs, ripped glutes- everything was just about perfect. Perfect seperation in my shoulder, triceps and biceps. I was ripped. I was training for a fitness competition. A two weeks before, i ended up in the hospital with meningitis. And that’s when I fell off track. At least for a while. I continued to work out 3-4 times a week, but didn’t pay so much attention to my diet. More recently, I’ve been going through an ugly breakup. Spent 6 years in an unhealthy relationship. I’m finally free of it. I took out my aggression in the gym as well as in the fridge- But It’s time for me to get serious with it again. After all, I don’t think i’ve ever felt better than the time I spent in the best health and shape of my life.

I resolve to eat conciously again. (40/40/20- 1600-2200 calories/day)

I resolve to lift heavy again! (10 rep max)

I resolve to take progress photos every Wednesday and post them!

My goal is to lose body fat while building my muscles. I know muscles have memory.

Today’s fitness goals-

1 hour of cardio (because my diet sucked today. We had an office meeting with pastries- and well, i over indulged. I’m starting the diet tomorrow- have to go grocery shopping.)

Chest, Triceps and Abs.

I did cardio on Saturday, Cardio and legs on Sunday, cardio on Monday (i was really short on time, so i spent 35 mins in the gym) I am still sore from leg day. But it’s amazing what a little cardio and amino acids can do to speed recovery :)

I’m just rambling now. I’ll check back in later. :)
