Got off to a late start. I will not go into how bad my sleep has been for the past two of three nights. I am going to skip my evening nap today in the hopes that I can sleep through the night without waking up. In spite of getting off to a late start, I got the morning routine done, in fact, with a little extra since I will be taking the car to get serviced on tomorrow morning. I wanted to make sure that I don't feel rushed in the morning. I will get up do the morning essentials and take my 2-mile walk. After that a hot shower and I am on the road.
This morning was a frozen Tabata morning! "Frozen Tabata" sounds like a dessert! LOL! Those of you who have experienced Tabata most definitely know that it is not! I got out there after completing my stretches and hit the Tabata workout, followed by the cardio. I pushed pretty hard in spite of the cold. It has not been above freezing today. I could not believe that I broke a sweat! I hit the exercises trying to get in as many good reps as possible within each 20 second interval. The chest, legs, arms and shoulders were burning pretty good when I got to that third and last round of 20 second exercise intervals. For the cardio, I did the usual rapid high stepping sprints, but moved them about 20 yards, which added some more intensity. I also did jumping jacks during the "rest" period. LOL! I know I said that I would not do that again, but I am getting excited as this Intecycle winds down and I get to start this contest. Thanks to WBNATL for his "expert" advice! Helped me get things in perspective and confirmed my approach for this contest. More on that when I start on Sunday.
After I finished up the workout today, it was my plan to get some things done on my list. That was not to happen right away. I STILL had to go out and run some unexpected errands. LOL! Plus, I will be out most of the day on tomorrow as well. I have been trying to get the new workout posted, but have not had a the time! I will work on that tonight.
The remainder of the week will be cold! Friday I could be working out in a "wintry mix." After that, the weekend is looking beautiful. I am looking forward to a beautiful Sunday to start the Transformation Challenge. I have to find a place to take my Baseline photos that I can use throughout the contest. I will figure that out on Sunday.
Wishing you all a great Tuesday! Hope that you are well. And for those of you battling that horrible flu, I wish you a quick recovery!
