Monday-December 31, 2012-Frigid Final Workout of 2012!
In bed by 9 o'clock last night. Up BEFORE 5 o'clock this morning! Had some great sleep, which really helped me to get my morning routine off to a great start. No doggy "gifts" this morning either! LOL!
It was 22 degrees this morning when me and Chi Chi (that bleeping dog
LOL) got out for his morning business. I was glad he got it done quickly!
I pushed through my morning routine for the last day of 2012! I am thankful that I made it through some difficult times and began to see a turnaround of sorts during the last three months of this year. Nevertheless, I am prayerfully looking forward to 2013 and certainly ask your continued prayers and support, for which I am extremely appreciative.
I was ready to get out there a little after 8 o'clock this morning and it was STILL BELOW freezing---30 degrees. I stretched, and then put on the cold-gear. I added an additional layer over that. I hit my wide and close grip chin-ups (3 x 15 of each type) for a total of 90 for the workout. Interspersed between those was rope jumping, jumping jacks, and windmills. I also did broad jump burpees, agility drills and 40 yard sprints. When all that was done I completed my 1-mile walk and 2-mile run. The run was decent considering the temperature. I finished in 13:00 (6:30 mile pace).
Tomorrow I am back outside again. This time for wide and close grip pull-ups with a 1-mile walk and 3-mile run. This is a great way to start 2013. Next week will be the conclusion of Cycle 30 and then I go light(er) with my Intercycle workouts before starting the Transformation Challenge. What I am contemplating adding to these 12 weeks of workouts is a bit frightening because there are some lingering fears about my arm and shoulder. I believe, given what I have been doing this cycle, that I will be fine as long as I monitor the arm and shoulder and keep everything stretched out. But there will be a lot more bar work, weighted bodyweight exercises, and a few things I have never attempted. LOL!

- 2-Mile Run (13:00)
